Brad Johnson is the biggest moron in the AFL media industry. All of his analysis is based off nothing - he never provides proof or stats to back up his claims and he bases everything off his beliefs and everything he reads by other journos. He provides no insight in commentary because he has no clue about statistics and analysis and just speaks in circles with random words coming out of his mouth.

I bet you if someone went up to him and explained to him the 'for' arguments for why we could win the premiership, he'd instantly flip his judgement and next time he's on the foxfooty panel, he'd say "St Kilda are genuine premiership contenders"

He does but he was also developing then. I think we could probably make better use of him. Maybe even as a defensive sweeper when not rucking like Lyon played McEvoy.

The dilemma with Marshall is that he is an elite around the ground ruckman, but an average tap ruckman who concedes way too many hit outs to advantage. Ryder made our clearance mids look like superstars, and Marshall usually makes them look like plodders. But again, his around the ground work is elite and irreplaceable.

Looks it’s a fair way out and very early. But he fits a big need. Right age for what they want to do.

In saying that, MA could break out and it’s all done and dusted as he is a sun.

But it’s worthy shaking the GC tree and see what shakes loose. They have so much talent and are only getting more.

Had the pleasure of being coached by his brother in my first year of senior footy. Was a terrific operator and communicator. Didn’t miss when he was called upon and had a great footy brain despite never playing at AFL level.
