Carroll - didn't see that one coming but great news. I would assume he'll be sub but very excited for him. Big opportunity. I still really rate him - still only 20 but a critical year for him.

Pitto didn't quite get there. I was really looking forward to seeing Motlop this season... shame about the toe.

So good Zac is back.

Owies, Cotters, Fogarty, Hewett all in the forward line. Plenty of defensive lockdown on opponent forwardline options.

I love that we have a few smaller rebounding defenders who can actually defend and make their opponents accountable the other way.

We have matched the Lions by having one ruck and a forward to pinch hit.

Voss has gone to school on the way the Lions ran us off our feet and made sure we have a good mix of pace and endurance in our side.

I'd rather go down being too short defensively, than too slow all over the place.

Interesting Line Up

I haven't really kept a eye on the off season but based on what I've seen of Jack Carroll in years gone, I'm a little surprised he's in the team. Hopefully he grabs it with two hands and has a break out year. Those who have followed the off season did he show something that would lead to the selection?

Here's hoping Cunningham also takes the next step. He showed something last year after so long off but I personally hope he doesn't get moved in the midfield unless its rotation. I think his position is Half Forward

Excited for tomorrow and hoping for the win (think we will just fall short personally)

Thought everyone would appreciate the SEN app for tomorrow night with the new feature they’ve added. You can choose to listen to their commentary team and alter the time delay so it matches the tv. It’s much better than the spuds they’ve put on TV.

This is the greatest invention ever. Watching it on Foxtel I found that 21 second sync works.

This is great, I remember as a kid having the TV on mute with the footy on the stereo.

I'm curious to know who's calling our game for SEN but anyone is better than 7's commentary team.

Given who we have available, I like it.

I like we have a few small defensive fwds to curtail their rebound.

It comes down to a combo of midfield pressure and the performance of Young, Kemp and Mcgovern.

This is great. Unfortunately for me, my kid loves BT for some reason. Probably our biggest point of difference in life 😖
