Binns not only makes more sense to play with his leg speed, endurance, smarts and FORM!
Carroll and Owies selected in front of Binns....pffft. WTF does he have to do get a game???
Rookie wins B&F reserves, elite repeat runner SW18 out and let's put average speed and endurance to replace him.. Looks like crazy Vossy is back!
I think Binns gets exposed for strength which is not what you want in a contest and pressure brand. He’s stiff tho

Think the sides decent considering the outs

Weiters in that backline and it’s almost as good as pies I reckon

What 🤔

Did anyone pick Carroll in the line up?

I don’t think he even got mentioned much in the training reports!
cough cough

Carroll - was very good. Accumulated a lot of possessions and very poised whenever he got it. Liked his game, and I reckon he'll get a call up at some stage during the year.

Carroll is a good sub option given he's a livewire for about 45 minutes a game. Hopefully he starts upping those numbers this season.

not enough run
Cottrell instead of Martin, elite HB added, Fantasia in the mix, Hollands a full pre-season.

It's not my ideal version of things, but Walsh aside it is slightly more.

If you had popped your head in at training you would realise why

Good to see the club reward Carroll's continued effort with the sub role for R0

Needs to continue adding strings to his bow but no doubting the effort.

Disappointed Cinc doesn't get a game this week but that back six looked "best case scenario" given the Weitering injury.

Probably the most balanced 23 we can go with considering the outs.

Love the side. Only glaring omission is the lack of a third tall. Martin and JSOS role

Suspect Kennedy gets the nod at times. Different type obviously but can play bigger up forward when called upon.

I do laugh at our supposed lack of pace on ball. Surely no one thinks that Neill, Dunkley, Berry and McCluggage are likely to win any Stawell gifts do they. Good footballers though as are Cripps, Hewitt, Cerra and Kennedy.

I figure that they send Dunkley to Cripps and we send Hewett to Neill - not to tag but to be accountable for them.

If we can break even in the ruck and put enough pressure on the ball to force them to kick into their forwardline in a scramble way then we are right in it.

But please don't let Coleman and Big O dominate against us (fortunately McKenna is not playing). We've had 6 months to formulate a plan for that.
