Well even with his average tog of 54.5% this year he was averaging more Pressure Acts than that of Wicks until tonight it is currently 11.5 per game compared to 11.9. He has also had 2 scoring shots per game compared to Wick's 1. So doesn't this prove that Warner even though he is a winger in the 2s he is versatile enough to play the small forward pressure forward role better than that of Wicks?
18 GWS ones for starters.James Jordon was 1.3 today unfortunate! he normally is very good at taking his chances.
Matter of fact i think we kicked to many behinds in general
I do like this one - a case of 'I thought you called for it Ooops!' and Rowie swoops on it quicker than a seagull on a chip
Campbell is getting games he doesn't deserve due to the team winning anyways. They're trying to develop him, but I don't see much evidence of it working. Not all junior stars go on to be senior ones. That's just how it is. He lacks the elite strength and/or athleticism to be a star at senior level. His level seems to be 25th or so on our list.Mills should get back in but who ever is dropped will be unlucky. Not sure who gets dropped.
Parker may not be so lucky. He’s been surpassed.
Fox maybe unlucky not sure he gets back in without a forced change. Maybe Campbell is vulnerable. He’s survived to date when I thought he’d be sent back to the 2’s.
Hard to change a winning team.
Not a bad problem to have.
I have no doubt our coaching staff respect Luke as much as ever and if circumstances change, he will be straight back in the squad.not the same player per say but I’d Parker was available next week I think he would come in for wick's and least get a chance.
He has great goal sense as we have seen , can pinch in the middle or play mid in the forward 50 stoppages.
Besides pace let’s not talk garbage he is twice the player wicks is and Adams as FORWARD that is
Impact is impact how ever you want to spin it and he would be another threat teams would have to watch in the air and at stoppages on the 50
He will play this year
Can't say I noticed too many mistakes from him? Wasn't he on Brown who went goalless? And the goal from Cleary.
SEN and/or ABC said the sub of Melican was tactical and AFL App had ****ed up.
No surprise. Lewis had been poor.
Can’t be that fit. Only beat the Roos by 3 points. Frankly I am disappointed, expected more.People ask how fit Gulden is.
Well fit enough to dominate the Giants then fly to Melbourne and get the Dees home according to ESPN .

On another note
I can't even find the speech to watch
The big question is: Does the manic pressure Wicks create have more or less impact than the space Sam Reid creates?Honestly, Wicks' "manic pressure" is taking on mythical qualities of the "big fish" we were threatening to land every trade period from 2015-2021.
No offence intended, but... Chad is an elite athlete with hourly contact with elite sports physiotherapists and doctors.I hope Chad pulls up ok.
The way he fell on his shoulder is exactly the motion for a dislocation… may have even been a temporary subluxation? If there has been any damage whatsoever, he must be rested/rehab’ed till it’s 100% right. (I have some knowledge in this area having dislocated my shoulder 4 times )
Roberts and Campbell have been dropped in that runHow many wins in a row before the thread isn't about all the guys we should drop
I don't think some saw how slow Parker looked in the VFL, he was cooked by the end of those games.
He and others may come in and some get dropped , but for now it seems guy play a role.
I mean discuss what you want, but think there's a lot of positives to look at too.
Roberts and Campbell have been dropped in that run
Is what it is
Sam Reid’s creating a lot of space so far in season 2024.The big question is: Does the manic pressure Wicks create have more or less impact than the space Sam Reid creates?
I just re-watched the post game press conference of Longmire and not once did he mention Wicks however he did mention about the versatility of Cleary being able to play in the midfield in the 2s and small forward for the 1s. Chad and Corey are obviously at different stages of their development and it is pretty damn obvious to me and many others that you don't watch the 1s game because Corey was BOG in it and was pretty unpredictable with his 3 goals including 1 where he acted as the small forward.
Basically what none of us like to admit is that we’re all dealing with a known unknown.I feel like the way that we're talking is really damned if you, damned if you don't sort of stuff.
The way I see it we have two options
1. We don't change anything and lose
2. We mix stuff around, bring in Parker and drop Wicks, and we lose
Which will look dumber in hindsight? Because I think you need a very good reason to change a forward line that consistently creates over 100 points a game, and if we lose after changing what has worked all year, I'm going to go ahead and say that looks pretty dumb.
In addition, you're risking tinkering with a symmetry that has developed to sensational levels between the forward group, the mids and the forward group, all to bring new in...I feel like the way that we're talking is really damned if you, damned if you don't sort of stuff.

Yes you’re right, but with a 3 game (plus %) buffer, I’d prefer they play it safe with Chad if need be.No offence intended, but... Chad is an elite athlete with hourly contact with elite sports physiotherapists and doctors.
Heeney is playing with a shoulder injury, Chad probably will too...
