They seem to have gone very very tall...

Norton, Hagan, Darcy, Lobb...

Bulldogs are the type of team that can look very slick when things go their way but put enough pressure on them for long enough, they might break down in spectacular style.

If we can’t win it in the middle their talls will rip us up, I am hoping for more of what we have seen in the last two weeks
Quite possible, the big difference here is the pies have small forwards, the demons have Fritsch {and no-one else} who is out of form but Arch wore him like a straightjacket and kept it tight, great performance on a premiership player but now we come to the Bulldogs, with Eifel towers everywhere and lets face it after the news broke about "Bont" maybe not playing blind Freddy could see he'd pull up okay against us!

We have nothing to lose but can gain more experience for the players, keep attacking and with all their talls on the forward line, run off them with Northball, take them out with pace!

Not worried about the Warlord. Hammies and body too precious that a two week freshen up ready to attack the last 3rd of the season could well be a silver lining. He’ll win the rising star in a canter.

Looking forward to seeing how Powell and WAP step up. Particularly will with a little dose of confidence from the last 2 games.

But all the action seems down back. And dare I say it, whereas the first half of the season you had trepidation when coming up against key forwards, we are now up against “the four headed monster” and I have a little bit of confidence we can come out ok (given the new team wide pressure and intensity that needs to be automatic).

Darcy - comben
Lobb - Dawson
Naughton - Pink
JUH - Corr

Weightman - Archer

Obviously a lot will depend on

English, Bont, Liba, McRae, Treloar Sanders
Vs
Xerri, LDU, Simpkin, Powell,WAP, Sheez

It’s seemed that teams are coming out of the bye switched on. Maybe we get the dogs napping, though that seems unlikely.

What a buzz kill the warlord being out.

Last week the commentary was harping on about how the godees were only scoring when George was off the field.

Going to be severely missed this week.

"Kallan Dawson replaces the young midfielder..."

That doesn't sound anything close to a like-for-like replacement.
We played a lot of midfielders vs Melbourne, LDU, Simpkin, Wardlaw, Powell, Sheezel and Phillips. + Shiels who sometimes runs through. Losing George will definitely hurt us but we have enough midfielders to cover him

Not for the intense/manic pressure he brings we dont...

Yes, we need Dawson in against Western and we’d probably have had to drop a mid. No-one would have chosen George ad the one, but like-for-like was never expected. I thought we were stuffed against the Pies with Jy out and that worked out ok - George is a big loss but he’s just one player, and if the rest play as hard and smart they have been they can cover it.

Late change likely. Dogs confirmed playing 4 talls forward. They will try only have 3 there at any given time however I am sure will be times all 4 are down there + Bont.
