Don't really get this fascination with government money, as if the various governments haven't put millions into the MCG and Docklands

Because all Victorians put money - time after time - into a stadium that one club then uses to make bags of money for itself. It is of zero value to anyone else in the game and creates a priceless asset for Geelong from which they and they alone benefit. No comparison with any other ground in the game.
