Does anyone have the original tweet of this or know the date?
It wasn't a tweet it was on first crack or one of those shows. He said it verbally.

Only every third thread you say?

I must be slowing down in my old age.
Not you 🤣, just the idea that draft picks aren’t worth anywhere near what so many people make them out to be.

I'd just like to thank North Melbourne for drafting Edwards instead of Newcombe and Duursma instead of Watson. Good guys always looking after us.

Dawson instead of Massimo as well ;)

Just caught up with the game. That was the most casual looking +120 point thumping I've ever seen. Just pulled the other mob to pieces so easily. Don't get me wrong, they put in the hard yards, but then when they cracked in, it just looked like all in a days work. No fuss.

To go from a percentage of 63 in round 5 to 118 at the end of the H&A season is something special. We've witnessed one of the greatest in season turn arounds in the history of the AFL and the boys should be so proud.

Love this club.

Now lest see how far we can go in finals. Can't wait, nothing to lose!

100% with you on that one.

Geelong are a team that are happy to trade away picks for established stars like Cameron and then trust their talent identification and player development.

It's a good model to follow for long term success compared to tanking your way to the bottom like what Norf have been doing for god knows how long now.

Regardless of Wellsy, they have been kissed on the d**k by the AFL.

Spare a thought for this deadshit who was in our autopsy threads lurk lolling posts prior to Round 6, who’s now contemplating handing over his account, should we get just 1 more win for 2024.

Tremendous way to end the regular season and put our best foot forward going into a finals series that many supporters didn’t see coming.

The effort and drive in the wet today was superb. A game where North would have thought they could compete better but the players didn’t lower their colours and instead turned up the heat.

Watson had another great game - the spark he offers is amazing and lights up the team. Love the way that he gets involved in helping others get on the scoreboard.

Connor MacDonald has become one of the most important players in the team with his work rate and ability to hit the scoreboard regularly.

Dylan Moore looked like he was having a quiet day and not able to impact like we know he can and then he got off the chain, ending the day with 4 goals.

Punky as sub comes on and hits the scoreboard which is all we can ask him to do.

D’Ambrosio continues to amaze with his ability to hit the target from many different angles - like he sees the game differently to others.

Frenchie had a nice amount of time in the midfield and looked confident and assured - will hold him in good stead going into his finals debut.

Josh Weddle continues to demonstrate his importance across many different lines of the ground. The MCG in finals will have him salivating.

Meek took the battle to Xerri and gave the midfield first crack all day.

Frosty had Larkey controlled all day - last 4 games against North Melbourne, Frosty has owned Big Nick.

Sicily controlled the back like we know he can do and his goal from outside 50 was great.

The Alberton Alliance in Jars and Karl give us so much run and carry from behind and they never look flustered, no matter how much pressure they are under.

Jai Newcombe stood up again in the midfield to take control - his combative nature will be a real asset in a fortnight’s time.

Chol and Dear continue to play like smalls when the ball is on the ground and I love their competitiveness.

Enjoy the win Hawkers and know that we only have 4 more elimination finals to go until we win the flag 🤎💛
