You cant have one without the other , pretty obvious I would have thought unless you can tell me how we can win and still improve our draft position
You want one thing more than the other. It’s pretty simple. It doesn’t have to be logical, but we are talking about wants here, not logic.

People want the higher draft pick(s) more than they want the win.

At the end of the day Ross and the players are here to win every game they play, so anyone's argument of why we should throw the game for a pick is useless. We are building a ruthless approach to game day and training regime and that isn't being thrown out the window simply to move a few spots in the draft.
Exactly, we're all just speculating the ifs and buts. Going off the last month and in particular the last round, it's very clear the team is motivated to win these games and take scalps.

When teams like WC and North get smashed by 100 points it's not cause there tanking it's cause there ECO and that's a coaching issue. The players got to be hungry to win too though.

Reid or mckercher... who would you take?
why does it make a difference?

we don't have pick one or 2, we have atm, pick 6 and 7.

there is a marked difference in that Reid was touted as the best junior to come through in umpteen years, where as this draft, it seams very even for the first 7-10 picks, so it really doesn't make one iota of difference where we land.

we pick who we pick and we back the development team to get it right.

I can't see a vast difference between pick 5 and 8 in this draft.

I’m thinking we see a late change.
Crazy Hayesy in for Josh Battle.
Bye Josh.

Saints smashing Geelong last week have given the whole non Carlton afl community hope 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This could be the most watched game of the season to this point.

My point is picks can make a difference

At no point have I said I want us to lose though.

I'm just saying both points of view are valid.

As they say in the movies , Put the gun down son

Do you really need to shoot everyone , Scott last week now Vossy's time is up

I'd rather us square away picks 5 and 6.

Carlton would play either Brisbane at the Gabba or Hawthorn. Either way, they are week one roadkill.

I'm in the draw group, though feel filthy having to rely on Freo. Fully expect the team to go for the win though, this is just because I want cake as draw also gives us a chance for Blues to get bent over.

A draw and a Freo win would be an outcome none of us deserve, but we can still hope. The melts would be epic.
