Jezza kicked 70 goals for the Giants in 2019, but he’d never kicked 70 goals for us before, so by your logic we should’ve started him at CHB.

Jack Martin has never kicked 40 goals in a season for any team, he's also never kicked 40 goals across consecutive seasons - his highest goal average in a season is 1.3 per game

Not sure that at 30yrs old & having barely strung consecutive games together over recent seasons, that he's suddenly going to achieve something he's yet to achieve

I'd have more faith that we could turn Z. Guthrie into a regular goal kicking forward who has a return of 40 goals before we see 40 goals in a season from Martin

The AFL has release their change to the DVI values that applies from 2025, should see the end of pick cycling, the value of 3rd round picks have been gutted

new value = 3000 * (old value - old value of pick 55) /(old value of pick 1 - old value of pick 55)

The picks in the 20s are worth way too much when you consider what it costs clubs to move up 2 or 3 spaces at the back end of r1. Poor effort.

It was even more lopsided under the old values, 2nd rounder picks lose DVI at faster rate under the new system then the old one.

Previously clubs would swap first round picks for 2nd round, and then do it again with the 2nd round picks for 3rd and 4th round picks. They'll still be able to it with 1st to 2nd round picks but it will be a little harder

I would be moving all of hawkins tuohy duncan rohan and bews on (stanley will retire) and i would get pretty aggressive with the list turnover.

Upside is we have found some very good younger players this year like dempsey lawson and the older mannagh.

I wouldn't over react. Keep Bews, Stanley and Duncan but just don't guarantee them games.

Stanley i can mainly live with as insurance (but he will retire anyway) but bews and duncan are cooked and i see little point in them playing vfl.

This offseason will tell us who has the casting vote in list mgt as if its wells (and not the coaches) i have no doubt all of those guys will be respectfully told to retire.

So.... Lets wait and hear the official words of " Bailey Smith has requested a trade to Geelong "
