Actually, I think the correct way to do BigFooty is to claim that whoever we pick is the wrong choice, and to call for the new coach’s head the minute we lose a pre season scratch match.

I'm not really too concerned. None of the three coaches seems to be anymore then a transitional coach sadly.

100% agreed, not only are all 3 candidates standouts, but the names they beat to get to this stage of the process aren't anything to be sneezed at.

We've also reviewed our back of house, recruited some gun staff and will refresh the assistant coaches. Any coach that joins us will have all the tools & support to succeed.

Now we have it down to three inexperienced assistant coaches BUT we can't decide because one collapsed after returning home from the interview ,other two have double chins and like going on walks .
Like just decide we need a coach can't be that hard .

We picked the right guy last time going through what Simpson has explained was a rigorous process.

The reason for the delays is pretty obvious I’d have thought

Universal industry opinion is that we are pretty much the worst state in terms of our list that any club has ever been in and it will take 5 years for finals to even been a consideration for us again. They might be wrong. Some posters might vehemently disagree with the industry consensus and think our recent first rounders like Chesser are destined to win Brownlow's in the future. You can have your own opinion on the state of the list. But what is not debateable is that that is the industry consensus
That makes it hard to recruit a new coach

This is probably a big reason behind why the club was hesitant to sack Simmo. The standard nuffy mentality of "sack them and hire someone better" isn't always as simple as that.

I'm leaning towards the ex Richmond chap.

Only because we are linked to Baker and Graham and he has done a long apprenteship at several clubs.

Skipworth at 41 seems a little young and needs more experience.
