Okay time to raise people's hopes and get the glass half-full of coolade passed around.

1. Jack Graham returns to his 2021 form (=2nd Tigers B&F) and displays everything Hardwick froths over in the below article.

2. Liam Baker returns to his 2021 form (=2nd Tigers B&F), AFL most courageous etc.

3. Reuben Ginbey continues his form from end of 2024, playing KPD on the oppositions resting ruckman/KPF and becoming the best defensive utility in the AFL.

4. Noah Long develops his midfield craft to become a Brent Daniels type small fwd with stints in the midfield.

5. Brady Hough adds an attacking element to his game as a defender, or moves into the midfield.

6. Rhett Bazzo and/or Ryan Maric develop into an intercepting defender at AFL level.

7. Chesser back to HBF or inside mid.

8. Hutchinson inside mid.

9. Liam Ryan.... back to 2020 AA form.

10. Clay Hall becomes Clayton Oliver

11. No matter who we draft with picks 12 and 26, we will all melt when Bo Allan turns into Patty Cripps.

Hated the trade but none of this year’s draft prospects are good enough that a nine pick downgrade could have this much of an impact on our prospects.
Yeah I know.

Would've been exciting to see 2 guns of the future.

Praying our pick 12 becomes a star and Hewett/Long etc get up

When does preseason training start?

I'm starting to get butterflies I'm so excited for Keys first training report!

November 11 for 1st - 4th year players so that’s anyone from the 2021 draft onwards (Chesser, Hough, Bazzo etc)

Then November 25 for the rest of the squad which I expect will include our newest draftees

Copium says that with a new coach, new gameplan and some more experienced players moving into the side we'll be refreshed in 2025 and climb out of the bottom 4.

Doomer says that we've loaded the club up with Richmond rejects, the execs have Moneyballed us out of the strongest draft in 10 years, and we wont see finals for another decade.

You'd think after selling our top end draft pick to add mature players like Baker (who wasn't cheap) and Owies...

The days of being totally uncompetitive in games needs to be put in the bin. As others have said, the floor has been raised. We should be aiming for 6+ wins at the absolute minumum, but more importantly should be in every contest and resemble something of an AFL quality football team and not just traffic cones, like this years games against Bulldogs, Cats, Adelaide, Hawks, Saints, Blues, Magpies etc etc etc.

Any loss over 10 goals should be considered a real failure IMO. Loser fatigue is real, and we can't afford to keep going as is.

Barrass leaving isn't going to help. I feel like that's being glossed over a fair bit. Hedwards is injury prone and still hasn't proven a great deal, Bazzo is a basket case at times (understandable), and then there's old boy McGovern, who's probably due to be injured again right about now.

Can definitely see teams getting a hold of us in defense, as well as our lacklustre midfield.

J.Williams, Ginbey, Reid, plus hopefully Hewett, Hall and some other new draftees should keep us coming back.
