HIMMER has never even kicked 30 in a season but to each he's own

Culture is more important than individuals kicking goals and the fact that as it stands 18 clubs don't want him on their list next year should make it clear that it's not about just on field performance with him

i'd back in our strong leadership to get stinger right i think he's linked to Sydney they would back in their system

What are people thoughts on STRINGER if Joey does retire 40 to 50 goal kicking forward would be really good pick up
Vomit emoji please

who do you suggest we bring TOM LYNCH
Actually he wouldn't be the worst.

But it's hard to replace someone like Joe. More likely we'll restructure and play through our really dangerous mid forwards more.

IF Joe retires, it now makes sense why we hit up Tabiner.
IF he retires, there will be a one year fill in recruited. The recruitment team has a plan for post Joe.

I don’t think Joe will actually retire though. Sounds like the Lachie going back to Freo fluff - something that happened a while ago but is sorted now.

I really really hope Joe doesn’t leave, but as others have said Lynch wouldn’t be the worst option if the medical staff thought they could get him fit. He’s shown he’s a mercenary who’d leave for the opportunity at a flag too, and perhaps Richmond would be prepared to let him go cheaply, if we covered most, if not all the salary.

Again I repeat though I really don’t want Joe leaving. Give us one more year to sort something else out please mate.

If we go to 5 on the interchange bench next year will be hoping to see more of Henry Smith, liked glimpses he showed this year, and he or Fort could then play with Oscar allowing us to park a big body deep in forward 50.

Hoping we see a fit Hippy too will make a big difference, but it will be a sad day for all of us (except Beardancer 🙂) if the lions legend and great showman rides off into the sunset...

Seeing Joe show so much emotion with that goal was actually heart wrenching with the media around him potentially retiring, it certainly looked that way… but what a way to go out if that is the fairytale finish. My recently made ex-partner and I used to joke that Joe doesn’t really like football, he’s just bloody good at it and this is basically his 9-5 job that he’s happy to put up with. I’m not sure that’s correct anymore with the emotion showed this finals series, and that particular play.

Out of curiosity, would anyone be able to match up the age of the Lions in 01? I was too young to appreciate, but I feel like this groups just achieved a premiership with a younger team on paper? We would have had 10 1st/2nd year players out there yesterday? Remarkable!
