Number 1 draft pick Toby Pink coming for ya in 2025

I wish we had given Don Brew a crack, maybe as a train on SSP if we have an injury over summer
could put brayden george on the LTI to have some summer train ons for SSP

and hypothetically if anyone went down during the year instead of replacing them could just flick george back on themain list otherwise conservatively have him right for 2026

time for some cat b rookies
Get scouting.

was Josh Murphy not drafted?? id be all over him in the rookie draft

Nope. There was some talented players left on the table imo. I know list spots across the board are pretty tight but I’m surprised that Phoenix Hargrave, Josh Murphy, Gabriel Stumpf, Floyd Burmeister, Louie Montgomery, and Nathaniel Sulzberger weren’t picked. All of them showed enough glimpses to justify a shot at AFL level.

There are some others who I thought had upside potential too… players like Depaoli-Kubank, Evan Bradley, Bailey McKenzie, Zaydyn Lockwood and Jaxon Artemis.

Is it time to start operation Get Jack Whitlock?
Get the twins together & they will be even better I reckon.

Step 1. start now getting in the ear of Matt, Jack, the parents & plant the seed.

Step 2. Get the dad a Mazda :p
Those dogs have already begun their get Dougie Cochrane plan

If other clubs thought our F1 would be top 3, they would have fought to take it off us.

It's just a sook man, that's fine, there's been plenty to sook about the last four or five years.

It's the future sooking that shits me.

But notes are being taken about those who wilted under fire, when success comes these types won't be forgotten

(Also lol at saying that blaming Brady for everything is "analysis")
Your concerns are noted.
I am off to read An Apologist's Guide to Gatekeeping!!!

dont go confusing the product with the process,

personally i dont have a problem with getting danials or whitlock for that matter, but if you are going to tell me we got them by spending the minimal amount of draft capital i say your nieve.

think of the analogy 2 people go into a tractor dealership and buy the same tractor, one pays the RRP and the the other haggles and gets 5k off and they throw in a slasher!

the buyer that got the better deal is better at bargaining regardless that the product they both got is identical re quality/suitability.

Snoz isnt a great bargainer. there is a lot of evidence stacking up to support that. alarmingly most dealing with Richmond!
I understand what your saying Koshari, but what I'm saying is we did what we had to do to get the players on our list, now obviously we wanted Harry Armstrong but couldn't get him even at pick #23, but we got the boys that we wanted, of course we didn't spend the minimal amount but that's the secret right there, "it doesn't matter what we spent, the job is done".

Nobody has given Dom brew a crack and if we wanted him I dare say Barlow would have pushed it and we didn’t. Has to be something off with him

We've cooked ourselves for next years draft if we cant trade into it next year (which I hope we can due to the compromised 2027 draft). However, I reckon the pickups this year are on point and might just set us up beautifully.
Spot on Roos1991, but remember next year if someone catches our eye we can trade two years of picks in, so everything is good.

i'd still like to know what the best offer we got for pick 2 was

knowing where armstrong went was there a chance to get both tauru at 10 and armstrong in the 20s for pick 2

vs fos at 2

and in that situation would we then not have spent our f1
Yeah look its a hard one, maybe, maybe not, I'm guessing our pick #2 wasn't as attractive as most drafts and the picks were pretty average but that is a question we all would like to know just as a matter of curiosity.

Any trade proposal that would have seen us lose out on O’Sullivan probably wouldn’t have cut it.

I don't know about that. I get the sense Matt is pretty happy to be forging his own identity.
