TB ran in the rehab group with Blanck, Sicily and Lewis. He ran some some short sprints and then did lots of running around the boundary. He looked like he was moving very freely. He said that the back issue has been beat up in the media in the lead up to his trade and that his body is like any 28-29 year old playing AFL, in that they need to monitor it and manage it.

Tom quite literally said after training that the talk of his back was strategy, and part of the industry/trade situations that arise.

He didn’t mention who’s strategy though.

It's funny you know in that in my head I always thought TB was way bigger than Battle. Good luck to any team trying to get past these mofos and even if they do then there's the added task of Sicily and Scrim picking it off and even then any one of Dimma, Impey or Frosty will be there to.

Yes, I'm guilty of the same.

Wouldn't even think about swapping them now, even if/when Curtin goes on to become the best version of what I thought he might be - because Wiz has already shown us that his own ceiling is likely to be far higher.

I remember reading somewhere how spectators would follow him from one end of the ground to the other at the change of quarters when he was a junior. I understand now because I have the same urge!

This is why I argue strongly before the draft, but support the club after the draft.
MM and his team know better and they are impressively competent.

I thought pick 5 was too high for Wiz.
Right now I think pick 2 would have been justified.

LOL nobody on this forum should be conceited enough to think they have a "track record".
I certainly don't.

We're all just talking sh1t to pass the time.
Very few put in the time to have advanced knowledge of draftees.

fwiw Watson's talent was obvious pre-draft.
I just made the argument that very good small forwards can be found later in the draft in most years, which is true.

Watson's form last season proved he is much more than just a very good small forward.

The poor bloke just looks to be in a total state of disbelief. He is probably afraid that he will wake to Ross Lyon in front of him and realise it was all just a wonderful dream.

Walking round with Barrass and talking shit about oppo forwards would only reenforce that it was all just a dream.

There's levels. Hawks team has a few that are in front of him. I think he was top 3 at St kilda. Our list profile for athleticism and endurance is insane as he is no where near our top 3.
