Had to google it and I'm still not absolutely certain what it means but I think it's Hawthorn Partners promoting their organisation/products? My first thought (quickly dismissed) was it was a bizarre way to describe getting your romantic partners involved in the Hawks!

Nah marketing people have spoken like inhuman flogs for decades now. AI is way more understandable and able to speak in something resembling conversational English.

Good question. The simple answer is "remains to be seen". However running is definitely a strength.

By my reckoning, we have nine on the list that would be top 5 for most teams:
Weddle, Ward, Jiath, Moore, Morrison, Maginness, Amon, Croc & Butler. A few others, like Nash, D'Ambrosio and Battle are not far behind. That is a lot of running power.

Sorry if it wasn’t obvious, I was being facetious
The marketers will tell you THEY are the only ones to tame AI, and as you said, they do it using their flog language.

Our marketing group spent a truck load of money to run customer data into an AI engine. Later i followed up with them on success rates and they were very evasive ( no success ). I had warned them beforehand and asked for KPI’s on the conversion rate but they wouldn’t do it. The reason - they didn’t really understand it.

I really hope they give Ward an extended run at it. He has all the tools to make it.
If he's playing well in the VFL and not getting a look in I worry another club will promise him more game time.

This year is HUGE for Ward. I'm backing him in for a breakout year. It's not like he's a liability when he plays. He's very dependable and taking on a new position (winger) takes a little time to gel.
