23 H&A games +3 finals
= 26 games
x 1.5 goals a game (Dear's 2024 average)

= Calshier would get 39 goals next season on his current form line.

That's not even improving on his 2024 goals per game average.

Calshier is gonna get +40 goals next season.
EASILY!
Yes when you also consider that he had many games with limited game time and subbed off his average is a bit better. Similar to Watson I think you wipe out the first 10 games of your career when projecting the average as you're still very much finding your feet.

Dear first 10 games 0 3x goal games and an average of 1.1 goals per game. Next 7 games (2 finals included) 2x goals per game average and 3x 3x goal games.

All his stats improved in that time, marks, disposals, goals etc..

I think next year if he has a game like the Elimination final it won't be a 3.4 and a few missed chances it will be a comfortable 6 goal game. And he'll feast on the bottom sides too.

Can only imagine the hype if this guy was at Collingwood or Essendon....probably name a membership package after him.
A lot of clubs have been using his surname at the start of their correspondence with their members.

He had some terrible misses & out-on-fulls in 2024 as well. Probs left 10 goals out there, just from those.

He cleans those up; plays a couple of extra games; &, like you say: starts the way he finished, he'll push 50 goals.

Franklin averaged 2.2 goals per game and kicked 31 goals in his second season.

For whatever reason Dear may not come close to 50 goals next season, but the fact that we think it is a distinct possibility is very exciting and says so much about his potential.

Best of luck to the young man his long term welfare is the most important thing in his recovery ….. but when a door shuts another one opens. Ramma, Skaife ……. or utilise Siss, Weds or Battle versatility? Mitch will work something out I hope 🤞

Hopefully not as bad as McCabe’s back issues last year.

Disappointing but that’s why we’ve got Gunston on the list still and it’s an opportunity for other young talls (not just those earmarked as future KPFs).

Hopefully the second scan shows minimal damage.

No need to rush him given how important he will be for our future. Just under three months though so if it’s only minor and heals well he might not end up missing much time at all.

Any setbacks though will push that time out very quickly.

Damn, i love everything that Calsher brings to the table. Such a talent for the future, rest up young star!

Anything can happen with young key position players, its important to take our time and tamper the expectations.

Massive opportunity for Ramma i feel. Can he function with Chol. Both can rotate with Meek and play high if required. Gunston directing the traffic.
