His playmaking jump has been incredible (much to the detriment of our hopes of nabbing him), seems like a much more versatile prospect than previously. Going from an unmocked freshman to a fringe 1st rounder / early-mid 2nd rounder as a sophomore. Impressive.
Is he even a 2nd round pick? Most mock drafts still don't have him taken.

Pick 26 here

Pick 38 here

Pick 40 here

Not at all exhaustive, but some bigger sites having him picked.

Yeah I think there are rules around it
Not anymore - It's pretty permissive, now that there's payments allowed in the NCAA.

It used to be around hiring an agent vs. not, and if you'd hired an agent you couldn't return to college, but now you can enter the draft, hire an agent, and then return to college if you're not drafted, and all you have to do is terminate the agent's contract.

Sounds like he's gotten close enough to a bite at the cherry that he's going to give it a multi-year crack - Looks like he's in the wind for us as a prospect. He'll probably get a crack at the NBA in some respect now.

If he is willing to go back to college next year, I wouldn't be surprised if some team offers him a two-way contract to play in their G-League team and be on the NBA roster, even if he misses out on being drafted, either this year or next year. Seems like it's his #1, #2 and #3 priorities from the way he's been talking.

As long as you've attended the draft combine - which is roughly 80 players. If he gets an invite to that he'll go to the draft and hope to get called, if not, he'll probably not nominate and play another year of college.

There's no reason for him not to nominate, really.

He can nominate, go undrafted, become a free agent, and if there's no interest, he can still go back to college and try to drum some up, and then he's a free agent from that point forward and can sign wherever he wants if offers eventually come in.

You have to show that you were a very good chance of getting drafted to return to college after going through the draft process. They first relaxed it to being able to return to college after going through the draft process if you'd been told by a club that they'd draft you, but have since relaxed it further to having been invited to the draft combine lets you return. So what you're saying applies if he gets an invite to the combine. Sounds likely to get an invite, so it will probably be right in Condon's case.

Crazy this. a mate of mine is friends with one of the OG guys involved in Pro kick. Trying to get some info on whats happened. It seems like they've done some dodgy paperwork in applying for these colleges, like misdemeanor records/grades. US Colleges are super strict on any criminal activity/DUI's/any problems with the law and you don't get in, plus need to have very solid academic grades.

At first i thought it was just salty americans having a whinge about our kids going over and taking punting spots off their own. But looks like some dodgy activity has happened.

Assuming Joe McGuire got a gig at Ohio state university courtesy of a donation from Ed. He kinda came out of nowhere, happy to be proved wrong however. You see heaps of kids on the sidelines in uniform but not in pads during games, they are usually donor families kids getting a first class seat to games.

Eddie came down to Old Xavs back in the day. A fatso, but a beautiful kick.

Joe did do prokick i've learned. Helped by being a great kick like he dad it seems. But to go straight into ohio states program which is the best in the country raised eyebrows.

I struggle to believe that a donation to an organisation with a $7.9bn endowment would get a kid on the field.

not sure it ever gets confirmed but common belief over there is you can get preferential treatment in college if your parents donate
