Great article but not so for us. He clearly says he will return to college if not picked up in this years draft. I just want the best for him and the odds of joining us are very slim from that read. Oh well.

Another year he can try, but I think it'll make it harder for him. He'll be 21 by then, so he'll have to rely on a what.. two way? Lottery pick? 2nd round? I'm no way versed in basketball of course.

Nothing we can change either way, so we wait and see how it plays out. For him, and for us.

Sounds like 2 possibilities, in terms of this year.

a) he gets drafted and joins the NBA in some capacity - full contract or two-way contract

b)if no one tells them they're going to draft him this year, he won't nominate and will go around in college again. If he improves enough, he'll get drafted next year - if he doesn't improve enough, he won't and will probably join us.

"Lottery picks" aren't what they sound like. They're actually the best picks in the draft. To stop tanking, the top 14 draft order is decided by a lottery.

Quite normal for him to complete his senior year at college and get drafted next year. He has more chance next year as he can put up better numbers as a senior. Chances are someone snatches him in this year’s draft but alternatively he may complete next year to graduate in whatever he is studying. It wouldn’t make much sense for him to come back yet with the opportunities he has.

Of course I want him back but I wish him all the best. He has some wonderful opportunities.

I am just wondering if we can continue the category B until 2026?

What do you think Vinnie Vegas? You've been the most vocal about your opinion that he won't get drafted this year. Do you still feel that way?

US college is 4 years. He won't graduate at the end of next year.

It's pretty clear from the article that Australian Rules is very much an afterthought for him. Good on him for following his dream.
I mean, shouldn’t that have been obvious from the beginning? You don’t travel across the world to pursue a basketball career if Aussie rules is at the front of your mind.
