Well we are down to 3. First things first, well done to Holbrook on Saturday - they smashed us in the middle and their defence held up well against the wind in the last quarter. But I guess thats why we strive for a top 2 spot to get another crack.
Yesterday's game was a bit of a wierd one, BB...
NOP i hear you guys are going in to tomorrows big clash severely under full strength ? Have u guys put a few boys on ice before finals or just conceding a loss already considering u boys cant move out of 3rd ?
I think the majority of the league has been looking forward to this match all season...
Geez louise Greg. I think it is a bit premature to be firing off with both barrels just yet. I hope it turns out that way for the Lions but can we just wait for the next 8 quarters to pass before we start saying things like "win the GF fairly easily". Personally I think BB will take it right up...
Yes I remember that day well, was standing behind the goals as the ball went through. Was an absolute wobbler but none the less reached its intended target. How are your boys travelling nop ? You seem to be getting the job done these last few weeks in a nice style with little fan fare ? But I...
Fair assessment the AP. From my point of view I hope your on the money and our boys do get one of those top 2 spots. We have been on top pretty much all year and it would be a bit of a letdown to slip out of the top couple in the last few matches, but will see what happens.
Again I think it...
Well done BB.....oh and thanks for proving to us all that yes you clearly are a muppet :D and also that you clearly are a 12 year old girl hiding behind that "vicious" language :)
Didnt I just give a pretty informal upcoming round rap u muppet, feel free to pick it to peices ! Or why dont u give us your fav's for each clubs b&f ?
Appears to be a fairly predictable round coming up with what look's like being a few one-sided matches. But undoubtedly the biggest match of the round is Holbrook v Jindera. Who are the likely big match up's, potential game-breakers, players who could fly under the radar & be the difference, ect...
I tend to agree with you AM about kade but he is a very good player who will strengthen their side so he's gotta play. He would be dangerous in many spots whether that be up forward or up around the wing or even in the ruck. For our sake I hope he's in the two's for a least another week but...
Havent seen them in the flesh yet but going by their results they look to be going along ok. I think they have still got 1 or 2 to come into the side i believe ??
We are looking foward to playing them in a couple of weeks, will be good to see where things sit in the early goings.
Osborne must...
Pretty quiet on here lad's !! C'mon lets get some chat going:
Howlong - Are they loosing any ? Will they try and recruit or just work with what they've got seeing's as they are the benchmark ? Surely Koelher must be getting phone calls, if they loose him will they drop substantially ...
Who are the prodigal sons you speak of NOP ? How certain are you that none will be lost as there is talk getting around that 1 or 2 might be heading back into town again next season.
Lions retaining the bulk of their list with most of the senior core staying on to assist Klemke in his debut...
It will be interesting to see if the umpires were in agreeance at the same rate of the coaching staff at both Howlong and BB when it comes to Banks and Storey being in the best players, as these two were pretty much in their side's best players week in week out for the season. Im not having a go...
Believe there was something in the Border a couple of weeks ago saying the matter was dealt with "in-house" by Howlong (whatever that means).
Magpies will hold thier spot in the 6 purely by default of the draw. Henty may sneak up on them and pinch the spot and who knows what Coly can do, would...
Whats everyone's thoughts on the interleague team ?
A good mix it seems on paper. Solid backline, some good ball users with good pace through the middle, and a big forward line which should take some matching up. Shame about Koehler, but thats footy. Who do people see as the game breakers ...
I beleive most games went to script for Round 9. I guess the main talking point is the BB v Jindera game. For those who were there, was it a quality game, who were the match winners, any surprises, ect, ect :thumbsu:
Are you the same person sanchez/rollin ?
Going through your previous posts it is quiet easy to see that you are both stout Howlong people, this caught my attention for 2 reasons:
- rollin', you refer to nicholson in 90% of your posts, but you exclude him from your interleague side, whilst...

As St Kilda coach Ross Lyon says frequently, footy is an opinion business. So for the sake of a bit of worthwhile discussion, here's mine:
B: G.Fruen, K.Wilson, A.Brown
HB: D.Murphy, J.Koehler, M.Clarke
M: K.Duel, S.Gilson, M.Palmer
HF: D.McKimmie, L. Donnan, T.Cooper
F: K.Garland...
The cul v jindera game was a good contest. A good win by our boys in the end. It was good to see a tight contest played in the right spirit, although a few umpiring decisions had both camps scratching their heads, but thats footy and it goes both ways. I think jindera missed garland up forward...
Geez those boys must of been in everything up forward. And i see in the border b.garland chimed in with 4 of his own. it seems like it was a weekend for inaccurate kicking, must of been a swirling breeze circling around the north-east on saturday
Keep up the good convo blokes. I am Cul follower and I dont really mind someone talking about our strengths and weaknesses, as long as its constructive.
On a different note, does anyone know what is happening with the interleague game this season ? I hope it hasnt been dropped altogther...
Geez you must live a sheltered life swan. Can only imagine what kind of insipid club you must play for when you go to effort to source the BM as an "official" form guide :thumbsu:
Are you sure about this dirty ? last i heard he was happily retired, and also that Almond has been trying to lure West (former Henty ruckman, who is also retired) to spiderland to fill their gapping hole in the ruck.
Apparently Almond wanted to make West his 17th assistant coach and the 34th man...
Firstly, I agree with you about the holiday before round 1 FP. I also believe that someones personal situation shouldnt be discussed on sites like this, but to avoid heresay, im told Donna's recently became a single man and needed a break. So, end of story and nothing more probably needs to be...
