Looks like there are a lot of opinions about how me move forward with the tall forwards and the ruck position.
Anyone think Brander could be an option to pinch hit when Nic takes a break? Especially with the mids eventually coming back and possibly squeezing him out, I think it’s an option and...
There are some pretty good options for captain. Guys like Darling, LeCras, Waters, Kennedy come to mind. However I think Selwood looks like a natural leader and he would do very well in the role. Darling and Mackenzie would be great v/c.
I think its safe to say the majority of supporters are well against the 3 ruckman policy. Not only hasnt it worked this year but in the past when Woosha tried to have 3 tall forwards it was the same deal.
In 2005-2006 we had Gardiner, Lynch, Hansen as the 3 tall forwards then we had Cox and...
There's no doubt he has shown a lot of ability and he probably looks more at home playing closer to goal. However when you look at the side are we getting a bit too tall? I know that with the sub that would allow us to sub him out late in the game as was done with Lynch numerous times last year...
Sure he had a shakey start, but I think he played with a lot more confidence as the game went on. Definitely not the best player on the ground, but he had a crack and came out alright. Good effort I say and he should retain his spot in the side.
Not sure if the best option is to replace Kennedy with another tall. I think playing Lynch from Full forward or the resting ruckman with Darling at centre half forward could be the best option. Hurn needs to be used a lot better, suggestions of him playing half forward could work, even getting...
Re: Embley - What happens to him?
He had a terrible game today and really you expect more from a Norm Smith Medalist.
However he had an excellent year. Wont be going anywhere for another year or so.
Unless there are inuries i would like to see no change.
No point picking a team to suit them, sure they may send ryder forward for a bit but Hille is the one that will play forward. The team was nicely balanced last week and while you could argue another tall on the smaller ground would be...
At the moment i have found the game pretty hard to get the hang of, just the controls are fairly different to previous games.
One thing I am not a fan of is the team set up. Much prefer the original look that you see prior to the match instead of the list style.
But apart from that its...
Hughes' form in shield cricket doesnt warrant him being picked in the test side. Sure he is the future, but surely it is not a smart move to pick someone who doesnt deserve it?
Marsh is in great form, deserves selection, and would be a fine replacement for North.
Perhaps Khawaja could be...
1. Katich (If not fit - Hughes)
2. Watson
3. Ponting
4. Clarke (If not fit - Marsh)
5. M. Hussey
6. Khawaja
7. Haddin
8. Swan
9. Harris
10. Hauritz
11. Bollinger
In: Khawaja, Swan, Hauritz
Out: North (unless he saves australia in the next 2 days), Siddle, Doherty
Why is their no love for Swan? Surely he is the best swing bowler in the country, then why not have him in the side, does it matter if he is 31? We need a quality side who can win a match, not young blokes who arent up to the task.
You would think the club will look at getting one of Watters or Neeld from Collingwood, either would be great pick ups in my opinion.
Senior coach - Woosha
