Essendon will win the 2019 flag

Pretty much. List wise, we are in a very good position, and our best footy is very hard to stop. The question is if we can mentally keep it together for a full year.

    Draft Profile Nick Hind

If he's not at least rookied this year, then a lot of recruiters aren't looking hard enough imo.

Traded Dylan Shiel [traded with future 2nd to Essendon for #9 and future 1st round pick]

Actually, Merrett is devastating if he doesn't have an opponent within 50m. There is a reason he gets tagged heavily. He also improved greatly dealing with a tag by the end of the year, although it's still a legit question mark. But he's much better than 'ok.' Yeah, Francis might just be a role...

    Essendon, where are they now?

Don't get too smug, if it is history repeating and it is Lloyd, that means we'll end up getting Hardwick over to be his mentor. Who is your weights trainer atm?

    Best fwd/ruck in the league

Good topic Ryder was the best 'Goal kicking first ruck,' last year. By a fair margin too. But he has always struggled playing the second string role. Ironically, the guy Port should have got was Tom Bellchambers. He's far more dangerous inside 50 than he is at the centre circle. We've had a...

I'm not satisfied. Should Essendon be punished for failure to provide Medical Records?

Yeah, your right. That has nothing to do with governance... You do realise that the 'no records' thing didn't just get discovered last week yeah? It's not new, no matter how much you want it to be.

The mysterious behaviour of Alavi and Charter

Interesting, because that's how I see it. Hird had only completed one year of what was still really a coaching apprenticeship, before he tried to up the ante into areas he was nowhere near ready to deal with. And neither was the club. Clearly. The idea that he is the 'mastermind' of anything...

The mysterious behaviour of Alavi and Charter

I wonder if Gatto kill Charter's rabbit in 2013?

Will ASADA/WADA appeal? - UPDATE: ASADA will not appeal - WADA has appealed

Oh Dank says, does he? Dank also says that the Thymosin batch in question was ruined, and he had it destroyed. Dank also says that he purchased Thymomodulin on three separate occasions from Alavi. Dank also says that he didn't administer a banned substance. It's funny how credible Dank...

Will ASADA/WADA appeal? - UPDATE: ASADA will not appeal - WADA has appealed

Yeah.... well... I way already outraged :) He still gave them an interview, despite how desperately the article has been put together, he is still direct quoted talking about things he shouldn't be. But you're probably right. You lot could learn a thing or two from Fairfax. They troll...

Will ASADA/WADA appeal? - UPDATE: ASADA will not appeal - WADA has appealed

I'm not sure if it will be family reasons, or to pursue other interests, but I reckon Ben McDevitt will be "Standing down" pretty soon. Those comments are disgraceful and completely inappropriate from somebody in his position. He's actually sooking.

Robbo cries for his beloved Albert

Let me guess, something like: 'Fat alcoholic cries for the Bronzed Boner? '

Player in legal action against the AFL and Essendon - Hal Hunter

Didn't Jobe address that? They were there to represent 34 players, not the EFC, and many of the 34 play at different clubs now. Some past players were part of the group at the press conference also. I don't see anything sinister in it, but then I'm not looking for sinister.

Robbo cries for his beloved Albert

This thread title is very humorous.

The mysterious behaviour of Alavi and Charter

And I agree with you. It wasn't a coincidence. But I don't think Weapon provided any truthful or responsible answers to anything, this included.
  16. Michael Quinn

The mysterious behaviour of Alavi and Charter

Yeah, but The weapon said a lot of things. I personally pay no credence to anybody who refers to themselves in a third-person alias. Whatever happened in 2012, The Weapon was up to his non-existent neck in it.

The mysterious behaviour of Alavi and Charter

I still can't work out if it was A.) Hirdy got Charter involved because he wanted somebody 'he could trust.' Or B.) Dank got Charter involved because he knew of Hird's previous relationship, and thought he'd use him to help get his proposal over the line. I don't like either scenario to be...

The mysterious behaviour of Alavi and Charter

I had a brief professional relationship with Charter some time back. I won't go into details, but our company had hired him on a consultants contract, which was never renewed after seeing his business practices. The guy is flat-out dodgy as hell. Smart though, very intelligent and knowledgeable...

EFC players: Comfortable satisfaction not reached.

There was a huge big Stephen Dank shaped hole in the evidence. Always was. It's been clear for a pretty long time that the tribunal wasn't going to be able to make a definitive call on which thymosin the players were injected with. This process was never going to bring closure on that issue. I...

Why isn't there a player revolt?

Fair enough. I know many Essendon supporters have been quick to throw that Sam Lane article from a few years ago and say 'see, see, drug cheats,' so I'm sure that's been annoying. I was not doing that fwiw.
  21. Michael Quinn

Why isn't there a player revolt?

Yeah... Nah. We had a good convo for a while there, now for some some reason you are trying to back me into a corner over semantics. I cast aspersions on my own club too. Hell, I cast them on sporting organisations and individuals right around the world. I don't automatically assume all of...

Why isn't there a player revolt?

Cast aspersions hey? Something, something glass houses. At some stage it's going to dawn on you that we are having an 'ends justifying the means' debate.
  23. Michael Quinn

Why isn't there a player revolt?

I realise that and agree with what you posted. (although, Not sure AFL really tried that hard to nip it in the bud. Certainly tried about as hard as we did :) I got caught in a cross thread discussion that wasn't relevant to this thread. Sorry, still getting the hang of all this.
  24. Michael Quinn

Why isn't there a player revolt?

It's actually not that difficult to understand. I'm surprised you're labouring over it. My opinion of our guilt is irrelevant. As is yours. Hell, even the AFL's opinion is irrelevant... (Sorta.)You are not guilty, until you are found guilty. 'Gut feel' is not evidence. I am assuming you...
  25. Michael Quinn

Why isn't there a player revolt?

No it doesn't. The 'Everybody else was doing it' excuse has been the one that's made me cringe the most. That's not to say that I don't believe 'Everybody else was doing it' because I do. I just don't think it matters in regards to ASADA. If we breached the code, then we're guilty. It's...

Who cares? I don't actually know. Neither do you.
  27. Michael Quinn

Player in legal action against the AFL and Essendon - Hal Hunter

Yet this wasn't an issue in 2014. And we'd actually received SCN's by that stage. Why was 2013 so special?
  28. Michael Quinn

Player in legal action against the AFL and Essendon - Hal Hunter

You think so? You think we missed finals because our paperwork was crap, and we didn't check Dank's references? Really?
  29. Michael Quinn

Player in legal action against the AFL and Essendon - Hal Hunter

I agree with one aspect; we were victims of our own form in 2013. Because we got kicked out of finals at a stage when the charge sheet - and the interim report it was copy/pasted from - stated that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with a doping charge. Yet 12 months later, with the...

Player in legal action against the AFL and Essendon - Hal Hunter

I may be misunderstanding you, but haven't you described the exact happenings of the press conference in feb 2013? Like, isn't that exactly what happened? Unless you mean something else.
