MRP / Trib. Cotchin & Ellis

And what sort of a campaigner is Dermott Brereton. Absolutely dropped Cotchin in it. Bit rich coming from an out and out thug. Funnily enough I never heard him drop his old man in it for what happened in the back of his taxi. Campaigner.

    Change vs Melb

Out: Knights (inj), Batch (form) In: Lennon, Lids Lennon to replace Knights and the role he plays. Lids to replace Batch - we need more pace and line breaking from half back.

AFL held plea bid without ASADA - Large Fries

Firstly, there were deals offered to the NRL players. Players are not an organisation. Secondly what is your source that ex-NRL players were not offered the same deal?

AFL held plea bid without ASADA - Large Fries

Please.. there have never been any backroom dealings between ASADA and any other organisation. Nor any leaks from ASADA. They have been watertight and professional throughout this entire ordeal. If only we could say the same about the other major players.

Demetriou going to US on "fact finding" mission

Perhaps he could find out how the NFL handle things like: Cost of Living Allowance (They don't have one - the salary cay is sacrosanct) Father son rule (They don't have one - it compromises the draft) Priority Picks (They don't have them - it compromises the draft)

Autopsy NAB Cup RD 2: Essendon v Richmond

In what universe has Knights done anything to suggest he's even close to best 22?

2012 Official Pre-Season Draft and Rookie Draft Thread

I am. I reckon that he is massively overrated and a dickhead to boot. But also massively, massively overrated.

    Dan Connors - the forward?

Actually that would be 0 clearances.

Could we afford Goddard under the salary cap?

Bad luck that Moloney can't kick.:thumbsd:

    Free Agency

The guy that I'd be looking at is Leigh Montagna from the Saints. He is exactly the sort of player we need. Uses it well and knows the right places to run to. With the Saints cap full to overflowing, if they keep Goddard then someone like Montagna could be shaken loose.

Will we be involved in Free Agency

Seriously mate, that's the third time that you've suggested Chapman. How does no sound. He'll be 31 and a half by the time next season comes around. Does not fit into our plans at all. For that matter neither do any of the other you keep banging on about.

Darren Jolly: 2 subs, 2 interchange is "bloody stupid"

You don't quite understand cause and effect. The game became faster because of the bench being increased to 4. The real problem here is that the AFL are being disingenuous about the reasons for the rule changes. They have realised that they made a mistake increasing the bench to 4...

    Hawthorn Runners

Simple to fix really. Each club has one runner on Match day. Run on and stay out there as long as you like (within the current rules), but there is no-one to replace you when you run off. Personally I think having runners is an anachronism that the game no longer needs. With the current...

Because we didn't, we used a forth round pick on him you fool. Please don't feed this troll.

The AFL's Special Distribution Fund / financial equalisation

I'm still waiting for ANY non-Victorian side to be FORCED to play their home games at Etihad Stadium in order to meet the AFL's commitment that ensures the AFL teams (read even those non-Victorian clubs that weren't MADE to play their home games there) will own the stadium. BTW, we (Richmond)...

    Review First 10 Weeks

Vickery, Grimes and Conca have all proven that they are a part of our future, so a successful first 10 weeks regardless of the win loss columns. Batchelor and Helbig have been played which is commitment to the future. Again good. Some middle range players seem to have improved (Nahas, Rance...

    Tambling.

But the bottom line is, despite the physical attributes that saw him drafted so high, he is a poor kick of the football. Good luck with that, but I (along with every other Tiger supporter) can tell you that you're in for a world of excruciating, bitter sweet pain. We've seen the light (thanks...

News Team Selection Round 11 vs Port

Ah Farmer, because going by your criteria, he should never have been in the side to start with. He did not set the world alight at Coburg, and definitely carried that form into the game against the Bumbers (i.e. he was deplorable). Funnily enough, given his form at Coburg, he played to the...

News Team Selection Round 11 vs Port

Because Griggs' clangers are generally under little or no pressure. Little dinky run and receive from behind a Tiger player with the ball, and then he doesn't know what to do with it. He's actually much better with the ball when he doesn't have time to over analyse the situation, but to compare...

    Did Farmer deserve his game?

Morton may have some (or maybe even all) of the attributes you claim, but the one attribute he is missing is a willingness to apply pressure to the opposition. Without that being addressed, he's highly unlikely to play football for Richmond in the near future.

    Round 9 Rising Star nomination

Yeah, this highlights how ridicules the rules for this award are. The award should be for first year players only, not Guys like Shuey who have done three preseasons.

    March On 3AW

Then you are not only condoning but actively encouraging plagiarism. As for your Nuremberg defense, it's not only pathetic it's laughable. If you were a Richmond player we'd all be telling you to grow a pair.

Craig Cameron says we will be trading. (Merged Delisting/Trading Threads)

Re: Craig Cameron says we will be trading. What would be your strategy? I say that unless we can pick up a Knights/Vespremi type in the Pre-Season Draft for nix, then keep all of our draft picks and put our faith in our (recently beefed up) recruiting staff. We need to take a long term view...

    Cuz on the couch

Yeah, because Buckley didn't spend the best part of his last couple of seasons injured. FFS if you're going to post on the subject at least try to include factual information.

    Richmond & Priority Picks

So at least we can all agree that there has been a precedent set back in 1999. However I don't like our chances. On the other hand, if it were Sydney in our position the AFL would be falling over themselves to throw assistance their way.
  27. S

    Richmond & Priority Picks

This coming from the team that the AFL gave pick 5 in 1999 draft. Just gave it to you. But then we all know that the AFL have their favourites.

    Jim Stynes, Simply the Best

Jimmy Stynes has achived far more away from the football field than on it. This is a monumental achievment when you consider that he is a Brownlow medalist and the record holder for the highest number of consecutive games played. Truely a great human being. Get well Jim, the world needs you.
