ITs fantastic in the NFL especially seeing how quick the game is after the snap. QB has no time. Just feels like Madden.
Would work for NRL I guess given the one direction game, but for AFL it would be difficul given the forward/back nature of the game, and the potential of a quick kick...
If Crows match the offer and want more then our first round pick, why dont we swap our first pick for pick one in the pre season draft. It screws over Adelaide which is fine by me. Would rather him for nothing though. The AFL being their corrupt self would like block it though.
We got...
Jeez I hope his personnel isssues are what we all think they are.
Early days someone mentioned gambling, and we all ran with that for 15 pages, then it was mentioned about him knocking up someone and that ran for another 140 pages.
Whilst we have no real source to this information it...
What if his kid (as has been suggested) is a gun footballer and gets picked up father son by Brissie after Al plays his 100 game.
Then I'm going to scream.
Good riddance to bad rubbish I say
The whole 21 pick is rubbish and as Brisbane will be using their other picks on academy players they didn't really have anything else to offer.
Why don't the afl then allow future picks to be traded (i think they can do that in the nfl).
Pick 21 this year, and Brisbanes 3rd round pick next...
I'm just totally PO'd at the club, and particularly Balmy.
I can't believe that the club can let a player say 'Oh yeah i'll sign just give me a few weeks', and not consider something may not be afoot. Seriously the season finished 3 weeks ago sort it out then, don't let it go into trade week...
I'd imagine that at some point in all of this they spoke to Wellsy who said "There's some handy players that I could get at pick 21, I'd take it"
Good I hope they at least spoke to him. But knowing Balmey...
If the story about the knocking up of some girl is true, and his gf is pi$$ed.
Maybe we should just play hardball, first round pick, re-sign or your going into the draft. Either Melbourne or St Kilda can pick you up there (not sure if he would pick the draft or pre-seaon draft, don't know how...
Appartenly an early post suggested that he was pissed not to be playing the first final. Given he had trained earlier in the week and said he would be fine to play
Perhaps the club already knew he was leaving and just thought stuff him. Don't necessary agree with it given how good he is but...
Yep, the problem there is that every club also has to pay about 95% of the cap (i think) so again rubbish players are getting 300k, whilst at the better teams they get less
Perhaps they should go back and let clubs pay what they want to each player, if the club only pays 80% of the cap let...
Yep I said the same thing on page 1 or 2. Time to either reload (which I don't agree with as we have tried it... it hasn't worked) or rebuild properly like the Bulldogs or Saints. At least we don't have a compromised draft either.
Let's just accept that we don't have the personnel to win every year.
Remember there are 18 teams in the comp and 6 probably believe they can seriously win it, and 14 believe they can get top 8.
We're obviously sliding down the list of teams who think they can win it, and whilst on our day we...
Poor effort from a few of the guys.
Really not sure how we got that close.
Hawk, Selwood and Caddy played well, any others?
Guthrie needs to lose the boots and pull his head in. Its getting big i think.
Gaz looked like he wanted to be out there.
He looked happy.
Let's start a surrogate farm in India and churn them out, his kids will play for Geelong that's for sure
Seriously we need to rebuild.
None of this top up crap. We're not even close to Hawthorn and Sydney, and whilst we made he 8 we only just won a lot of close games.
But hey on the bright side we do have 3 premierships. We should all be thankful of our recent successes and thank god were not...
