Allen Christensen says he is “in a happy place” after being traded to Brisbane.

And the Geelong premiership midfielder says he will eventually speak about the personal issues which led him to request a trade to the Lions

“I’ll come out in due time and talk about it because I think I can be a really good role model to the community,” Christsensen told reports on Tuesday morning.

“But, I’ll deal with that (the issues) myself and with the family and friends around me. I’ll keep working to be a better person and becoming a good Brisbane Lions player.

However, the 23-year-old isn’t concerned by the speculation that has surrounded his departure.

He says it won’t influence when he reveals reason behind his move.

“It doesn’t really bother me,” Christensen said.

How is he going to work through the issues 2000kms away from his friends and family?

Aaaaaand you know this how?
Nominated only one club let's be serious if he wanted to escape his toxic environment he would had been open to multiple clubs.

Even if it was only QLD he could have nominated GC too, nothing but a cash grab and a dog's act.

GFC a are far too easy to deal with in the trade period

Jeez I hope his personnel isssues are what we all think they are.

Early days someone mentioned gambling, and we all ran with that for 15 pages, then it was mentioned about him knocking up someone and that ran for another 140 pages.

Whilst we have no real source to this information it certainly has spread like wildfire, so hopefully we were atleast close to the truth, othwerwise it will be 153 pages of bollocks.

If unture he could make more money by suing us all for defamation.

Did you hear the rumour that he's actually Batman and someone was about to uncover his identity?

Unless its all "smoke & mirrors". A leopard doesn't change its spots. If Bundy (I think I will now refer to him by his surname rather than any term of endearment) can honestly say that by moving from Geelong to Brisbane has suddenly resulted in whatever the issues were being overcome, then they cannot have been too serious. I suspect he is saying things to make himself and those around him feel good.

Even afl.com having a sly dig:

12.23pm: Interesting comments from new Brisbane Lion Allen Christensen this morning after his move from the Cats for non-football reasons. The speedster believes he can be a 'really good role model' in the community

I cant help but think that this guy is a lost cause, seriously its not hard to see he has taken the GFC for a ride and left them to pickup the pieces. This comment in the media shocked me "The 23-year-old said he has overcome his private issues and a change of environment would be most beneficial for his future", so he has been at the club for a day and all his problems are solved, talk about a kick in the guts for GFC.

On better news for the cats they are looking at Rhys Stanley from the saints with Pick 21 http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-10-14/cats-eye-st-kilda-tall
