Agreed, definitely some over-thinking going on. The Flex position helps you dodge an injury/sub score. So put your "safest" player there and carry on imo. Especially after a few weeks when we have dead rookies/bye players that can be used to loop the rookies.

It depends how you look at it. If you play as just a 31st player, aware you need the cash gen to get 23 premo's playing an "extra" rookie makes a lot of sense. Folk talking about putting a SP mid/ruck there are just robbing Peter to pay Paul. They will have an extra rookie/mp on field somewhere.

Finished the season strongly and is training the house down. St Kilda need to develop their young players like him, fitness aside I'm confident he's a good pick.

I'm sceptical about him too. Even if he gets mid time there is no way he will get enough to rack it up like in juniors. I have him in as a placeholder currently, but will swap him out if/when a cheaper option presents.

85+ IMO he can do 90+ and be a keeper. He looked exactly what St Kilda needed late last season and is currently training the house down.

My take is put a player there you would normally have on field. Whether a rookie, midpricer, or premo it doesn't really matter as long as you are confident they will be a better scorer than the rookies you have on the bench. A player with DPP allows more flexibility, but isn't essential.

Really not convinced about any def premo other than Sheezel and SamFlan. NWM is ok, but I doubt he has a huge jump in average. Got to pick someone though. I like Houston, but he's an upgrade target not a starter. Rivers I dunno, more a placeholder. Windsor is training in defence apparently...
