    Preview Round 17, 2024 : Geelong v Hawthorn, 4:35pm Sat 6th July, GMHBA stadium

So if MLewis doesn’t come back in, does Calsh stay (is he injured?), or do we maybe give Scaifey a crack?

Which Mitch are we going to get though, the one who could potentially be one of the most damaging key forwards in the game, or the total liability???

Coach Sam Mitchell's direction for the club and 2024 news

Just read something very eye-opening, apparently we are the 'are the only team in football history to be in 13th with a positive win-loss record, according to Champion Data.' 😯🙀

Review The most idiotic media call about Hawthorns rebuild

Who said 'Tassie will win a flag before Hawthorn do"? The worst thing about it is that people blindly and mindlessly swallow it. The second Barrett said Hawthorn was 'tanking' was the same second there was a thread on the main board asking 'is Hawthorn tanking?' Many people are unable to...

It is way, way, way more likely the handbaggers win this way than us....

Autopsy Round 16, 2024: Hawks cook the Eagles

Dunno, I reckon if we'd beaten the Pies and Port in Port, and were sitting in 3rd as you say, our confidence would be absolutely sky-high....

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn: Mitchell Lewis. Extended to 2026!

Will never forget him kicking the winner against the handbaggers a few years ago.....

We are more attacking too though; in each of our past 5 games we've kicked between 85 and 107 points.

Earlier in the year I stated that I hoped the core of this midfield would all click together at some stage, I reckon today was the first time we truly saw it: Day, Duke, Worps and Nash, all over 25 possies, and all had big impact. Just beautiful.

Opinion Can the Hawks make finals in 2024?

It's funny (or maybe not funny), the game I'm most confident about of our next 6 is the Pies....

Starting to think it might be time for a breather for Calsher. He’s a teenager, he’s got shitloads of time. Lewis or maybe even Scaife in next week.

If Finn can shut down Reid, or at least curb his influence, that takes us quite a ways towards winning.

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

I feel like he would seriously shore up our backline, with Blancky to come back next year, Sic roaming, Scrim in ripping form, Weds, Dimma, Jars etc etc. starts to look very strong.

Give Lewis til after the big road trip I reckon, the forward line's actually been functioning perfectly well without him. (Don't get me wrong, I like Mitch a lot and want to see him back in the side soon)

That was brilliant, very insightful. My favourite part was when he was reeling out name after name of excellent players, or at least potentially excellent players, who CAN’T get a game at senior level. That very, very exciting.
