I had a epidural injection in 2011. Went from excruciating pain in the L5/S1 to feeling completely fine. Ended up having a laminectomy anyways as it hadn't actually healed even 1% 6 months after the epidural and am fine now
Yep well the epidural worked in that it stopped the excruciating leg pain, but I was still really restricted eg. no gym, no exercise other than walking so had to make the tough call, and glad i did. My back was never actually very sore at all, was just the shocking pain in my...
Yep had a badly bulging L5/S1. My surgery was supposed to go for 3-4 hours but ended up going 7-8 because it was so badly wrapped around and stuck to the sciatic nerve.
The pain after the epidural didn't come back at all. I even went on a pre-booked trip to Bali (praying for it to not flare...
Yep I only had it once. Was effective in relieving the pain completely and after about 10 weeks i got another MRI to see what was going on in there and it hadn't improved even 1%, so had the surgery.
Fingers crossed it works for you
nah i had the L5/S1 laminectomy 14 months ago. the pain in my hammy/calf/knee/foot was so bad from the sciatic nerve.
i probably did pork up a little bit after taking those medications, a bit from them and then from being inactive due to the injury. if the pain is getting so bad though that...
Man get your GP to prescribe you something other than tramadol so you can at least go about your day to day life. I remember the period before i had my epiural injection when my back was cooked, i took a course of prendnisilone (cortizone) which calmed it down a heap, and then took lyrica, which...
theres a group of ex-pat australians there, i think its called Raffles, and they have social games organised and its all discounted. I think you can get in touch with them and try and hook up a game with them 3-4 weeks beforehand if cost is an issue!
or you could sty at the Nirwana resort, and...
yep i got some great shots of me wacking the ball down onto the beach below! the caddie then climbed down to the beach to retrieve the ball but some dude had stolen it lol
The lockerroom shower/spa/sauna at Nirwana was awesome, didnt use the ones at New Kuta as was in a rush. If you are hiring...
I played twice in Bali mid year. Played at Nirwana first and then New Kuta second as Bali G&CC was closed when we were there too.
Nirwana was pretty cool, good holiday course. I am not great but still got around well enough. The 7th/8th/9th hole, cant rememerb which one, is absolutley amazing...
100% right about her age and having to face life in kerobokan. would suffer pretty badly mentally and physically you'd imagine.
i know britain has prison swap deals with thailand and a few other countries, not just about indonesia though. watched a doco on Bang Kwang prison in Bangkok, also...
Yep true but 16 years you can get parole after two thirds serve or something and with sentence cuts It comes down heaps. Would rather be in kerobokan than bang kwang prison in Bangkok. That place looks crazy
i have:
Taylormade RBZ Driver 10.5
Taylormade RBZ 4 Hybrid
Taylormade Burner 2.0 Irons 4-PW
Taylormade ATV 60 deg wedge
Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 putter
Can't hit the hybrid or long irons at all. Only been playing for 6 months
I've read a lot of the books on Bali (schapelle book, Hotel K, Snowing in Bali) and from what I can gather from all this is that the reason she got the death penalty is because she didn't formally apologize to Indonesia and kept banging on about the story about how she was forced to do it...
i never had any trouble sitting or walking which was good. when i first had trouble i thought i had done my hammy (never done one before) as I was getting sharp shooting pain through it whenever i stood up and took a few steps. the pain progressed all the way down my leg and by the time i had...
surgery was done at The Avenue hospital in Phahran by a spinal surgeon named Gary Speck. was very very good. Had the surgery exactly 1 year ago last Saturday, and I can now run, swim, bike, play golf and lift stuff freely. Have shelved footy/indoor soccer as I see it as too much of a risk...
yaeh after i had the bulging disc for a few months, its somehow bulged out further and i was in such agony that i had 3 cortizone pills, 2 lyrica and about 4 nurofen within half an hour and it did nothing, then walked around my house all night as when i lay down to sleep it was agony to stay...
before i had my cortizone epidural injection in my L5/S1, followed by my laminectomy surgery, I was prescribed the drug Lycira, which i found was the only thing that i took over this whole 4-6 month period that actaually calmed the sciatic nerve pain down! made me super groggy though, so only...
I had a L5/S1 bulging disc in 2011, which was giving me awful sciatica for months. Flared up really badly and had to have a epidural injection in it to calm it down, and then eventually had laminectomy surgery on it in Jan 2012.
Turned out that the disc wasn't just protruding on the sciatic...
