I've seen first hand that it does have an impact. In my situation, my eldest was very keen on footy and was always desperate to watch it and kick the footy outside etc. He got upset whenever a night game was on because knew he wouldn't be able to watch a whole game (none of the game if it is a...
and the other 24.82 million of the population agree ;)
In all seriousness though it's like anything, everyone will have a different opinion. Mine is that I totally despise it. I know it's here to stay which is disappointing to me but it is what it is. I'm still old school and would rather rock...
I don't care for it at all. I despise it when we play as it means my weekend has no footy, and I didn't watch a single game when we didn't feature last season. Get rid of it, it sucks!
Menegola was fairly serviceable after being delisted by two clubs. Sometimes a player just needs to be given a chance in the right environment. I sometimes wonder if players like Jack Watts, Jack Trengove, Aaron Fiora, Richard Tambling etc could have been really good players if drafted to a...
I'm going to guess that 2 and 26 will be retired for one season like 14 was in 2023 - We have can have 44 listed players and our jumper numbers go up to 46 at the moment leaving 2 spares so the retirements for a season could be an option?
I'll then guess he will take next lowest which is 3
Agree, and Pyke needed to come out and say something along those lines to try to sell the abysmal trade as a positive to the fans that are ready to torch the place. The interview was as much of a train wreck as the trade itself
The best part was Don Pyke going on SEN WA and saying they did the trade because they had already made a commitment to Baker and needed to get the deal done. He also went on to say Owies would be great depth and competition for spots in the best 22 is great to have :tearsofjoy:
I actually feel a bit sorry for the supporters. I wouldn't even give up pick 50 for Baker, bloke is a genuine plodder, let alone losing pick 3 for potentially two plodders. What a disaster that is for them. Maybe we can jump in last minute and offer them Gary Rohan for 14 instead of Baker if...

I don't want to think about this topic any more so Ill stop there
Thursday night . Man I hate Thursday games with a passion. The AFL really don't want young kids watching footy do they, and then they wonder why kids are playing other sports instead of footy.
Anyway, lets hope we can be on from the first bounce and bring intense pressure for the...
I have only read the first couple of pages of this thread so not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but I want to share my thoughts on O.Henry and Rohan. They both simply cannot play together in the same team as Henry completely nullifies Rohan's impact. Whether people want to admit it or...
Josh Kennedy (Hawks to Swans) would have been 22 or at least very close to perhaps? But I do agree, it's extremely rare or basically non-existent. Doesn't mean it can't happen though, it will one day.
I don't understand how this bloke gets bagged. He is easily in the first half dozen players I would pick every single week. His attack on the footy, chase down tackling, perceived pressure, providing a target is all top notch. In my opinion we are much worse off when he is not in the side, and...
Have absolutely loved Tomahawk from day 1. He's easily in my top 3 all time favourite players. This one is really gonna sting for me personally whether it be now or end of the season..
I watched episode 1 last night and loved it. I have never played the games though, but I can see myself getting into them after watching this. Is there anything a freshie like me needs to know to better understand the series/world, or is it fine to watch through as a freshie with zero knowledge...
I'm tipping VFL. To be a sub, you would still need to be assessed as capable of playing an entire game in case there is an injury in the first minute of play.
Correct, it usually means that they don't think there is an actual injury as such, and the player could continue to play the game out, but they are keeping him off 'just in case'
Agreed. Also there needs to be a player specific infinite incline for Tom Hawkins who just seems to keep improving the older he gets so when he's 80yo in the game his overall rating is 300
Hopefully it's just because the difficulty was on medium, but the one thing I didn't like was the AI constantly kicking sideways to contests across half forward instead of going inside 50. Otherwise it all looks great! Can't wait to get stuck into it!
