While the boss is away the children will play 🤪

Welcome to game day, a match in which we go in as underdogs against Carlton for the first time in 20 odd years or so

Match selection last night has left a few scratching their heads, and never know there may be a late change or two that'll see a few more raise an eyebrow or two

And while losing Bruhn the week after signing a contract extension hurts, his replacement, a guy by the name of Patrick Dangerfield seems to go ok - nice to have the captain back

Have at it and enjoy your day folk

Personally, I think the point of the injury list is to add injured players to it.

If not used that way, It's a complete waste of time.

Whether the injury list is or isn't used correctly, who cares? The players are either fit to play or not, putting them on a list isn't going to alter that.

Might be a bad news list , but on the flip side it gives a boost to your hope levels for change.
Quite a lot of posters have a VFL fave knocking at the door, injury is opportunity.

I have a good vibe about this game. Maybe I am delusional.

Danger is going to go ballistic would be my guess. Frustration at seeing the season go off the rails, and not being able to join the fun and lead the way for many weeks.

Assuming (!) the backline can hold up it's gonna be our little guys who lead the charge IMO. It's them who will get the ball to our biggies.

Blitz and MOC need to wear their opponents like a glove, and I suspect Blitz might run Pit around a bit.

We shall see, but I still have faith. Maybe

I think the fans care. But maybe it's not important for the fans to be kept in the loop.

If I see Jezza outside our F50 and getting touches at half back again I'm gonna spew

If in tonight's match Jezza produces his Cats career averages versus Carlton, I'm not opposed to a few touches on the defensive side of the ground

Can't see what the hysteria over the ruck is all about to be honest - we always select a side with the opposition in mind.
Blues have the one ruck playing 80% or so on the ball , Blitz is more than capable of that and whist TDK is a better tap Blitz will at least match or beat him in general play - give him the challenge. JH to give him a chop out.
Neale out and OH in also means Jezza will start forward with a licence to roam - forget this wing BS.

Allows us to play an extra runner and will allow us to tag - perhaps MOC to Cripps or Mullin/Bowes to Walsh ?
Massive game - we either go 9:5 or 8:6 , hoping it's the former.
