I don't understand how anyone can prefer to finish 5th.
Even if we are only a 10% chance of beating Sydney at the SCG (I'd say it's more like 35%), then that is still much better than having a 0% chance of a home prelim.
Not to mention the benefit of having a home final in week 2, and avoiding...
Having watched AFL360/On The Couch last night, as well as listening to Bickley on 5AA, the thing which really annoys me is the failure of them to provide the full context (Bickley did briefly at one point, but then ignored that context for the rest of the show).
Apparently Ebert was dazed and...
Fair point. However, it's not often that all of these factors combine together: a) we're the highest scoring team in the league; b) playing against a team who has conceded the most points in the league; c) it's at Adelaide Oval; d) we're in a four way tie for 2nd place with percentage being...
I've just had a look. Sportsbet is the only site where I could find prices all the way up to round 23. They don't let you combine all of the different rounds together into 1 multi, but it's easy enough to figure out what the prices would be.
For some reason, they have prices for every game...
A scoreline of 111-0 against Essendon would see us move ahead of GWS' current percentage of 136.3. We'd need roughly an additional 15 points for every 11 points we concede.
Currently, the best % is 136.3 (GWS). The following (optimistic, but not unrealistic) outcomes would see our % move higher than that (up to 136.8, to be exact):
vs Bombers: 120-50 (70 point win)
vs Lions: 120-50 (70 point win)
vs Dockers: 100-50 (50 point win)
vs Power: 100-80 (20 point win)...
I'd like the "live ladder" more if they simply showed a "live" percentage for the two teams, rather than prematurely adding on the 4 premiership points midway through the 1st quarter.
The Cleveland Browns are an American Football team in the NFL. The NFL , like the AFL, has "a draft and a salary cap that rewards teams that finish low with better opportunity to higher end talent. There's no raffle, finishing last gets you pick 1."
Ellington will be the #3 WR and his roster spot was never in doubt. If they planned on using Ellington as the PR again this season, then I don't see why Hayne would be on the 53 man roster. Allowing a roster spot to be used on a backup PR seems unlikely.
I think we'll see Hayne active in...
