I was posting on social media he should be out for the season but I guess the selection panel don't listen to dudes on Instagram.
But seriously it's disgusting management from the club to rush him back for this
The kangaroos should never have played him before the break. Hopefully sense will prevail and he can rest for the year. Much better to write the year off than write his career off
My mates are texting me claiming this was a fabricated loss so we could get a better draft pick. I can't believe they have such faith in the competence of our club that we could pull something like that off.
My three favourites:
Why can you never joke with a kleptomaniac?
Because they take things literally
Did you hear about the kidnapping at school?
It's okay, he woke up.
And the best of all time...
Why can you never trust an atom?
Because they make up everything.
From memory (and it was a long time ago) spider Burton was delisted by the spooners and picked up by the premiers (us) and played 50+ games.
Edit - Ah just googled it. Freo were second last that year. There goes a good trivia question. Also Mason Wood.
We have to pay a premium for junior talent but gees 600 is stretching it. I would have guessed 350-400 and wouldn't mind 500 given you'd think our list is such we could front end it.
The other issue is what do we get for him? You'd think a young kid on a 3 year 1.8m deal would be worth at least...
I have it on good record* that it happened last week and we delayed it all to watch the drugcheats implode.
*Source is a mate of a mate. Okay the source is me, I just made it up.
This is clearly a bad trade
Melbourne would have paid more
I cannot fathom why the club were so desperate to see him go they'd take pick 33
I'd be happy to give him 500x4 than that
The real sting isn't the overrated JC going for such a high price, but the giant spud that is Danniher somehow...
So here is my plan - I have just remembered that I am on a student membership which I forgot to remove last year - but since there wasn't footy it didn't seem to matter. So I've emailed the club and told them to cancel my auto-renewal because I'm unhappy with their treatment of BBB. I'll revert...
I've always disliked this attitude. How else are members supposed to make their voice heard? All of us want to see our membership number go up, not down. But if you think a club is acting poorly - what are you supposed to do about it aside from vote with your wallet?
First post in a few years to rant!!
Firstly - I love the NBA. Who do I support? No one. Teams are just the colours of their uniforms. The best part about footy is feeling you're apart of something and watching those kids you recruit develop into men. Our best player of the previous 3 years has...
Half his girlfriends of course, so I dunno, she's quite slender. Wish he had knocked up Liz Cambridge instead.
PS. Obviously a silly joke, all the best to them, great news, he's really got his life together these days it's great
Very frustrated at how easy the dogs were able to shepherd our players out of marking contests.
That, and their run through the middle. Thoroughly out coached I think.
The non-paid 50 for Goldie had me very angry at the end of third, so I know what you mean. Cannot get a more obvious holding the game up.
In terms of the ladder, someone will probably finish 4th on 14 wins, someone (very possibly us) will miss the 8 on 13 wins.
Not overall, but at the start of the 4th they had the momentum and couldn't put it on the board. We got 3 very lucky decisions in a row. Ziebs mark out of bounds was one, that McMillian holding the ball was two, can't think of the third.
I wouldn't begrudge them for complaining about that
I don't know who is in charge of special effects at our club but I enjoyed the smoke rising from Higgins' body in his post game interview. He looked like a supernatural demigod
Because winners win. I'm not advocating risking the health of our players (except perhaps final year players like Waite if they want to risk it that's fine) but finals experience is good experience.
Think of hawthorn in 08. We humiliated them in 07 and I think they just learnt from it. No...
