Assuming final list size is 40 - we have to shed 9 players to get back to 36 before the draft. Simpson and Kruezer are 2, that leaves 7. I would expect Moore and Goddard to go, bringing us down to 5. Finbar O'Dwyer has never had a stat so that would see us with 4 to cull.

We have picks in round 1, 2 and 3. We gave round 4 away. We have 4 father son prospects - MacKay; Tom Silvagni; Gleeson and one other... That will use up late selections and I would figure the round 3 pick would go on one of these ruck candidates. That leaves rounds 1 and 2 for targets or trades.

Last year we had 3 draftees train with the club and we selected one of them in Brodie Kemp. This year the 3 draftees feature 2 ruck prospects - Sam Walsh's brother and a bean pole called Nik Cox. My hard earned is on the fact we draft a ruck prospect as backup to Pittonet and TDK.

I don't disagree with you Ferris....... I don't like trading pick 3 as mooted here following your logic the best players come from 1 to 10 so keep pick 3.....keep round 1 and round 2 from 2018....throw in Ben Silvagni as father-Son Hopefully that is 4 A-graders.....Kennedy a good get this year...
