Review 2024 National Draft Thread Part Deux - Welcome FOS, M.Whitlock, L.Urquhart & River Stevens

Rosa was definitely on the phone to us. Did you’d see Scott with the big head shake to say no to a trade.

Anyone thinking we are any chance to get Housto is deluded. He came to Victoria and spoke to 5 finals contending clubs which we were not one of. He has no interest in coming to north hence the I will stay at port if a deal can’t be worked out.

Don’t worry about Kennedy he’s too slow. Lewis Young is the one we should be chasing hard. KPD and versatile

Preview 2024 National Draft Preview Thread

I’ve watched a lot of vision and genuinely none of the top 5/6 are great FOS was miles in front last year but if you didn’t know that and just watched what he has done this year he’d be lucky to be top 10. For mine we just have to pick Armstrong. Why would we take another mid with question...

Lol Petracca to be traded. More chance of Jack Mahoney winning the Coleman at the suns.

    Autopsy Autopsy vs Carlton

The biggest area of improvement and what will be the difference in us being a finals contender or not is: 1. Hanging in and holding up when we are losing clearances. When that goes we seen to just concede runs of goals at will. Watch all the games where teams get a run on. Need to be able to...

Preview Changes and pre match discussion vs Geelong in Hobart

Fisher was horrible. DROP him. Ford on thin ice. I’d make Powell Sub. Shiels back in. Probably stepho based on VFL. Or duursma if he’s showing the right defensive mindset in the VFL.

anyone mentioned Isaac Cumming from GWS? He was elite and building and damaging HB with good disposal in 21/22. Had a quiet year last year with ash and Whitfield taking a lot of those duties and has been out injured all year. Back for his first game this week. Unrestricted free agent I believe...

Autopsy Autopsy vs Collingwood aka the Great Pain Robbery

Shattered we lost but looking at the bigger picture, we look like we are starting to turn the corner over the last 6 weeks. We’re still clearly not fit enough our last 40 minutes is always rubbish and we look like we have no run. But that first half was electric. Want to see them start to back...

Player Watch #29: Will Phillips - tags N.Daicos vs Collingwood - subbed off at 3/4 time??

Anyone hanging their hopes on wilphil is deluded. The fact he’s uncontracted for next year and playing VFL, tells you everything you need to know. Seems like a great kid but doesnt have it unfortunately. Might get a go at a team with no depth in the midfield like a geelong.

Suprised no one’s mentioned Larkey. Has kicked a thousand and looked classes above anyone.

Past #26: Tarryn Thomas [Part III] - 18 week suspension confirmed; ineligible to play in '24 season; NMFC has officially sacked Tarryn.

If he was ever going to be able to turn it around. You’d surely think that the last year of his massive contract he’d put his head down and tear it up so that he can kick back on a big money 5 year deal from us or someone else. the fact he can’t get his off field stuff right even with that...

I think there’s a bit of a knock on most the draftees to be honest Reid- Endurance Curtin- looks slow as treacle down Watson - Inconsistent and can he play multi position? Sanders - just looks good at most things hit doesn’t stand out. Bit of wil Phillips vibes - Duursma - weird size for afl...

Don’t think we can take Watson and Curtin as they both have question marks. Rekon it’s one of them and Colby. Colby looks ready made and has the trcks

Curtin and Mckercher. I just can’t see how you can take wizard over mckercher the more I watch video of the two. Watson won’t be able to play anywhere else. No chance as a mid at afl level. McKercher could play mid wing hf or hb I rekon

Not a chance I’d give him more than a 3yr deal. Based on 6 decent games. He’s a huge risk. He’s needs a full season at least of not only playing but behaving well. I actually think we are in a great spot. He’s contracted now, so only trade if it’s a really good deal. Being he is out of...

I wasn’t buying it but then thinking about his output over the last 6 or so games, pulling his finger out it makes since that it’s for $ and a long deal. Hopefully it’s media beat up. He did say “I’m gonna do my two years at north” lol

The more I watch highlights the more I want us to get curtain. Yes because he’s defence he doesn’t have all these highlights of kicking goals etc but his kicking is sensational, he’s a lefty, he’s got great acceleration a beautiful side step, good one on one and a great versatile height which...

The more I look at it. If we get sanders and Reid I think we should take caddy. Best mates with cooper. Roo supporter. CHF which we have absolutely nothing of. I think if we get a comp pick we trade it to GC for 5. just need to know hawks want one of Watson Mckercher duursma. Worst case end up...
