Hmmmmmmmmmmm…
Looks like Sentinel posted it first on the 21st Sept:

McCraeBF posted their comment 3 days earlier on the 18th Sept...
I have listened to Macca's press conference several times and there is nothing wrong with what he said about Macrae. We do not want a bunch of downhill skiers.....we've been there and done that. He didn't embarrass the kid in public like calling him the "smartest/dumbest footballer in the AFL"...
He will be gone at seasons end. As some have said, he won't listen to coaches instructions and buy into what the coaches expect of every player. Hence, he'll be dispensed - whether delisted or traded.
I know for a fact he is aware of this and knows what he has to work on but for whatever...
No, I see he stays doing what he does best - win the contested ball. But I see more skilful, outside runners being recruited in the next few drafts who will nicely compliment our group of inside players.
I see BMac building the team just like the successful NFL teams have in recent years. Like successful NFL teams build from the trenches (offensive and defensive lines) out (to the receivers, etc) so too is BMac. He is first making sure we are very strong with the contested ball side of the game...
I can tell you that the market for Lake was very small and what the Hawks offered was far greater than what one other club who was interested in Lake offered. Watch more & more clubs do this now that free agency is now upon us.
You forgot that Lake was going to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this year. Also, who says we weren't in discussions with the Hawks for several weeks before the official trade week? Similar to how we got Barry Hall...
So why waste your time posting on forums like this? I'm guessing once the team start winning more regularly again you will jump back on board and buy a membership?
Stop being a bloody pessimist!
We are in a rebuilding year which is going to take at least a couple of years. Enjoy watching the kids play as that is where our next premiership is going to come from.
Having said that, I thought Gia was very poor...keeps playing for frees. I think his spot...
Ummm...Roos is no longer coach of Sydney. You have to give up something to gain something...Everitt will not be a big loss, unless he pulls his finger out in a big way. A change of scenary could benefit both players so hopefully the trade is a win-win for both clubs.
Both would of got smashed in today's game...move them on I say. I dont care how much talent a kid has, if they don't put their head over the ball, go play netball (or table tennis).
That's because the sole reason for Nathan leaving was $$$.
That's not the case with Harbrow, he wants to move back home. Sure the money he will get will be nice, but so will be playing closer to his family and partner.
The Dogs will get a 1st round pick to be used straight after their initial 1st round pick, which is a band 2 compensation.
Only G Ablett will net 2 1st round draft picks.
