The way I create the site won't be usable by anyone else, so a seamless transition to another maintainer isn't likely. To have more or less the same thing, it would have to redone from scratch. When the final siren does eventually sound, I intend to put up all the raw data I possibly can, so at...
Thanks to all. I've been conspicuous by my absence, unfortunately this appears to be how it's going to be in future. Still planning to do the regular season updates. But as for additions and other minutiae, the motivation after 25 years has basically gone.
Here's the system described that was used in the ARL in 1995, dated 28-Sep-1994. Crawford petitioned the AFL on 9-Sep-1994. Considerably narrows the circumstances required to validate his claims.
From a statistical POV, there's three options:
1> Call the BL the BB, thereby ignoring any Fitzroy involvement.
2> Mash the FL and BB histories together somehow, completely unviable.
3> Deem the new arrangement as a new team, representing both clubs.
3 seemed to be the path of least resistance...
What on earth are you talking about? Shoulder charges were legal, tackling in mid-air was fine, if you fell into a tackle and copped it high it was play on. There was no such thing as chicken wings, head slams, crushers, cannonballs, hip drops and probably plus some I can't even remember.
All...
It's happened a few times, St Kilda in 2009 was the 140th. Less common now with the "uneven" draw, only four in the 2000s, West Coast the last in 2015.
I have Hill at 46 seconds, the only faster in my records is Melbourne's Mitch Brown (debuting for Geelong) at 36 seconds. I only have data back to 2001.
Alas I have not kept up with all these changes, and sadly I can't see that changing any time soon.
Anyway, a reader has pointed out Nick Bloom appears to have played in the StK-Foo game of r8 1952, but doesn't appear in my records. So presumably somebody is on the list who didn't play...
This is list I have (8 or more)
14 David Hale
11 Matthew Taberner
11 Ben Griffiths
10 Xavier Ellis
10 Nick Suban
10 Max Bailey
10 Matt White
10 Lachlan Hansen
10 Kurt Tippett
10 Dawson...
The total is wrong, should be 11. I have some better data for some early 30s Medals, which I'd started working on but haven't finished. I'd hadn't realised that that fiddling had mucked up the totals i.e. counted them twice.
So did Stephen find this independently, or after it was pointed out by one of my readers? I was going to email the guy and say "Looky here, you are famous" :p
Round 5, St Kilda (v Carl), 1993, currently Everitt no goals, Bowey one.
Everitt kicked a goal, and according to Inside Football stats, Bowey kicked none.
Breen had a surplus of 48 at one time, beaten only by Roger Merrett, who was 89-38 at one point (51), ended up 151-158.
Going the other way, Russell Greene was 41-92 (also 51), ended up 169-139.
Jack Wrout was 6-46, ended up 92-88
(I've ignored draws)
I might put a running tally in each...
Fixed that rd10 thing.
It appears Gary Ablett sr kicked two goals, not one here:
https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1982/101419820424.html
with Richard Loveridge having to relinquish one of his 3.
SO either the opposite happened at some other time to even it out, or Ablett moves to a new...
Thanks, banner away if you like. This would be a good place for anyone to suggest "settled research" changes too. New tables possibly as well, although I've been pretty lethargic for a while, so no guarantees.

In 1966, they went 13-4-1 and missed. As a percentage of possible points, this is the record
