If I'd of followed my dad I'd be a Cats supporter. Instead it was nana (my mums mum) who didn't miss a game at the (then) Western Oval who started taking me in the early 80s when winning a game was like winning a grand final.
I now have a young son and daughter who barrack for the Dogs...
Kudos to the club to listening to the members and bringing back this iconic jumper. When it was announced on Friday night at the Best and Fairest there was a resounding cheer of approval so it looks like a very popular decision.
Looking forward to decking the family out in new jumpers over...
Occasional chance, are you kidding me? Talk about West Coast arrogance.
How does empty seats affect you watching the game on the other side of the country? What a joke. 29,000 against the Dees wasn't that bad considering they'd have been lucky to have 1,000 supporters in the ground.
Yes, we have struggled this year however as a Top 4 team the previous 3 years, have no doubt earnt the right to the 3 Friday night games we have this season!!!!
Are you looking for excuses already?
Cannot wait to knock off the almighty pretenders on Sunday twilight. So I hear from the ferals Ratten is safe now???
Would love to see them drop to 5th, we grab 8th and they disappear in the first week of the finals for what the 3rd year running? Good for footy!!! :thumbsu:
What window closing? Lol typical delusional Richmond supporter who is praying that their side is at least competitive.
I have a 7 year old who has at least experienced his team winning the majority of their games and attended the last 3 final series. Now if he barracked for the Tigers...
From memory joined end of 2004 for the 2005 season.
Letter this year says 2146 in queue. I was actually thinking of dropping AFL membership as we are coterie club members. Now the AFL membership seems to be hot property and I am so close I'll retain it.
I so agree with the first paragraph, their supporters are amongst the worst in the comp (the few that go week in and week out) and whilst wrong, this makes it hard for me to respect them as a club. The carry on when we beat them in 2010 was disgraceful!!
Anyway, back to footy, they may...
Speaking to most of the people we catch up with at the footy, they are all booking to travel up to the Gold Coast next year (largely as there is no Darwin trip). Seems the Doggies will have a big following up there. :thumbsu:
Very much looking forward to it!!
In recent years when we have travelled to Sydney we have been to the aftermatch function at the Paddington RSL. Always enjoyed it so will head there again. :)
One question, we are taking kids this time, are they able to get into the function?
Here goes :

I agree 100% with this. Whilst I am not happy with the performance on Saturday night (you cannot expect to play 20 mins of decent footy and win the game), we have all heard more than once that the 22 Round Season is a marathon and not a sprint.
Some changes do need to be made however we have...
Hawthorn are delusional if they think they have a supporter base anywhere near the size of Collingwood or Essendon. Empty pockets both sides of their cheer squad which at our home games are usually occupied by opposition supporters. Yes, they may have 50,000+ members but clearly a significant...
Relaxed with some anticipated excitement. Nothing is a given however, our club (along with a few others) has worked hard to put itself in the position to be a real contender this season.
Yes, there will be ups and downs but I intend to enjoy the ride. :thumbsu:
As a club, obviously 1954 being the one and only.
As a supporter who was not born to see that, I would have to say the 1989 Fightback. As a young teenager at the rally at Whitten Oval and despite the gloom at the likely non-existence of our beloved club, as a supporter there was a sense of...
In 2006 the Doggies played Richmond in Rd 1 on Friday night at Etihad. Whilst I cannot recall if it was actually the season opener, it was a Dogs victory to the tune of 120+ points, a little bit like the Tigers first game last year albeit against different opposition.
Our family has had reserved seats at Etihad since we began playing home games there in 2000. The seat numbers as detailed on the membership card/s are yours for every Bulldog home game of the season at Etihad. We have never had to do anything apart from arrive on game day, scan membership...
Ticketing details haven't been made overly clear however it appears that GA tickets will enable seating on Level 3 and possibly some areas of Level 1. Earlier in the week there were some concerns about reduced capacity due to the storms however this no longer seems to be the case.
Probably...
A career that will span in the vicinity probably 365+ games.
Its just fortunate he doesn't play for Richmond as he would have struggled to get to 350 given that finals are included in total number of games.
I'll wait until mid afternoon Wed (which is 24 hours from the response email sent by Ticketmaster) then call/email again. If no response early Thursday I guess I will go to an outlet to see if they can sort it out.
I really hope the email with the tickets comes through by midday Wed so...
I sent an email enquiry to Ticketmaster and have received a response saying that "issue of Ticketfast tickets via email for this event (nab cup GF) has been delayed and will be received within the next 24 hours".
Seems like this is the case for most of us who have purchased online.
Sounds like there are some issues with Ticketfast. I also purchased online yesterday and opted to print however haven't received the Tickets via email. I have tried to call Ticketmaster today but line is always engaged. Seems others are also having similar problems.
Same story here, ordered tickets yesterday afternoon and still no email. Have tried to call Ticketmaster today but line is continually engaged (must be everyone rushing for the nab cup final tickets!). If I recall correctly, others have had the same issue with receipt of the email for tickets...
