Re: Nwfa
Next year it will be a battle between Forth and Preston. Preston obviously because they're the yardstick of the competition, and Forth will add a few more players to the 8 or so stock players they've got.
TFLUA-Tiger...
This is not Mav!! :) just someone who has seen him develop into a genuine star! 16 months ago, Mav was a talented junior, quick with good skills, but since then he has not only tasted, but completely dominated senior football at times! He has put on the muscle, with plenty of...
Ok...lets talk seriously
Maverick Weller - too good for u'16s, was very capable in two games with u'18s!
I would like to put my life savings on it that he is atleast a top 5 pick in two years time...should go number 1!
That is all.
How about...Clarko's Arc....Pagan's Paddock gave Carey all of the free space, well Clarko's Arc can leave Buddy the Great to rome free in the 50m...? Thoughts?
Nothing is finalised, but at this stage, it does look as though Wuff will be going to Melbourne to play somewhere...:( and a side note...a former west park medallist has just had shoulder surgery, and has indicated to a select few, that in due course he is intending on returning to west park...
haha! you really do rate the ulv team to a great extent don't you? I do think from the hype Harris has got he will be reasonable, Ford aswell considering he is a SANFL/VFL premiership player, but all too often teams talk up there new recruits to the point of insanity...and it doesn't eventuate...
Are you speaking of Launceston as a confusion that they are in fact who i believe North Wester should have been infering to be the premiership favourite? To be honest, i am quite keen on Burnie, but my posts do not have ridiculous bias which was the point behind what i was saying...
i.e. i...
Hampson should never have been in trouble in the first place! It was a fair bump, and it hit him quite low, it was just the fact kepler was already on the ground! people who want the game to turn completely soft go away or Stop B*tching!
i already love Benny, should he fight "party boy corey" i would respect him even more, bcos to see someone punch his lights out would be brilliant! i'm hoping this is Cuz's opposition, and then for the Encore, everyone in the crowd is allowed one punch to Corey aswell
you must be kidding! the only thing that "naughty corey" is good for, is the slap corey website! it's a pity there isn't a shoot corey game, and it actually become reality! someone needs to squash the little peanut!
Re: 2005 Afl draft Re-Done
:thumbsu: nice job! i would almost agree, but my top 5 would be something like this:
1) Scott Pendlebury - absolute superstar, edges out Murphy due to more games = more quality provided for observers.
2) Marc Murphy - unlucky not to keep no.1 mantle, very...
I'm a tassie guy and trust me when i say there are some decent players in this years draft from Tasmania...
Aaron Cornelius & Tyson Mihocek are both absolute guns...i would be happy to suggest now Mihocek will definitely be a 200+ player, with the skills, strength and attitude to become the...
agreed! it is rare to play against a team holding a brownlow medallist as Black is - and i'm sure a multiple club b&f winner - and people expecting he won't do too well, or he can be shut down...Black is as good as Judd, just not as explosive...also tough as nails...would ne nice to snag him...
simple answer...NOPE! putrid player who is decent against old, fat retiring has-beens...
a good example: Justin O'Brien playing well in a decent comp. is like expecting an NTFL/SFL player to match it with the likes of judd, cousins and kerr.
Any thoughts surrounding the following relating to AFL level:
2008 tips for:
a) Premiership
b) League Best and Fairest
c) Leading Goal Kicker
d) Player to watch/most improved/under the radar
i'll throw something out first...
AFL:
a) ...very tough to pick i would suggest these teams will be...
this is unreasonable to suggest smart ever being an under age gun...was a soft player, who was flashy at best. wouldn't worry about him going bush, recruiting someone quality as such in walters is a far better candidate for the title "under age gun"...look for big things from Burnie this season!

Hey guys, i think the bombers team for NAB cup surely has to include youth, and the players that will make a difference to our success in the short and long term...thus the team should be:
B: McVeigh, Lee, Michael
HB: Lonergan, Ryder, Nash
C: Houli, Hislop, Lovett
HF: McPhee, Laycock, Reimers...
