I thought this twitter post summed it up nicely. James has become a Hirdashian. Please stop.
I see he's still playing the same song. "What about me .... it isn't fair" ...
Who new that the Golden Boy could be so tainted.
What club would want to lend players especially young players to Essendon given how they failed massively in taking care of the players they had by allowing them to be guinea pigs for goodness knows what they injected them with. Major trust issues with that club at the moment for me. Too many...
I'm sick of hearing the sob story that the players did nothing wrong. They did. They failed to ask what the heck was being injected into their bodies. More serious is James Hird who failed these 34 men by not fully disclosing what was being injected and failing in his professional duty as a...
The ever delusional narcissist Hird. AFL should hand him a life time ban. such a disgrace of a coach and to continue to deny any responsibility. This should have been sorted out years ago. Instead its been dragged out years by Hird and the Bombers.
I didn't truely realise how much that 2008 loss to Hawthorn really crush some Geelong supporters so much that it still burns 6 years later.
A more interesting question to me is which of Hawthorn Grand Final wins in this period is the best.
Common theme for my mind throughout this sorry saga was that James Hird did what was best for James Hird each step of the way.
He should had fallen on his sword a long time ago. Even if he didn't know or was lead down the wrong way he had a care of duty to the players he coached and he failed...
Its plain to see they had to pay Hird to get rid of him. Probably a lot of money too. However, its done now.
At least they can finish off this season, have a big clearing session and start the new season as a "Fresh Start".
They mailed in the game. Not going to improve unless he is removed. Maybe he get another shot at coaching in the future. But at Essendon, I think its time to stick the fork in it.
Congratulations to Richmond. It will be a relief for those fans who have supported that side through good times and bad times and having to put up with the ninemonth label for years to finally have a side that can compete and maybe do something in the finals.
Is it Henny Penny for Hawthorn...
Tigers are my next favourite team after the Hawks. Any fan group who can stick by them after 30 year drought gets a big tick in my book. I even gave up my seat this week to an out of town Tigers fan so they could go to the game.
How come the Essendon duds can't see how crap Hirds is at coaching. If it was any other coach he would have been gone ages ago. Those supporters have drunk way too much off the Kool aid. Maybe there needs to be an investigation on why they are so blind.
