Bit of talk around here re Dempster..
He informed the club late in the season that it was his intentions to retire at seasons end, to the point where he told family members to make sure they were around on Sunday to be there for the game. Think the club was trying to convince him to go around...
Whilst we can be disappointed there's no need to over do it. We lost to a better team and are weaknesses today are nothing we didn't already know. Our effort to was there again today.
Undersized defence, which will be addressed in years to come with the inclusion of Goddard and Carlisle.
Speed...
I think you will find that the Weller contract was just good business by both Fremantle and Weller's management.
Fremantle know St Kilda like him and he likes St Kilda. They are super keen on McCarthy and know that St Kilda will have a low draft picks in the next few years which could...
Don't take this as a whack cause it's not, but you must the PR doctor down at Linen House. How you have spun every scenario of us drafting or trading to the blokes on here has been brilliant
spot on with Brucey. couple of times that quarter he could have marked and had very gettable shot on goal. just not sticking for him today. though happy for him to have a quiet one if other guys are going to pick up the slack!
Needs Riewoldt up the ground and the 50 not so crowded to give him some room to move. We are looking for Roo a heap when going instead 50. As the game continues to open up he should find it easier
We made a strong play at Sloane but he decided to stay at Adelaide, good on him. Since Danger is gone he will be rewarded nicely.
We made a play for Treloar but chose to stay, as his is happy with how GWS are tracking and couldn't be swayed by money... For now.
We sounded out Shiel but never...
Isn't it funny how our list seems to have a bit of depth on it now that our injury list is shortened to only a handful. Selection criteria has been an unknown for the saints over the past few years. It goes to show that the past few seasons haven't necessarily been a true reflection of how good...
I was interested in the Armo v Ross topic and how we see Ross potentially developing into the player Armo is today. Run some stats for the their first 28/27 games.

Agreed. Def thought barks would be much higher.
Also surprised Daryl Griffiths made the cut. Well before my time but from what I read it doesn't scream top 25. Only played 120 odd games and only 1 bnf
Best 22 assuming all players are fit and available...
Geary Delaney Dempster
Savage Fisher Gilbert
Ray Armtiage Newnes
Hickey Montagna Steven
Billings Riewolt Membrey
Schneider Lee Templeton
Weller Dunstan Longer

the following players to be...
This is exactly where I am at! Whilst would be awesome to have a higher rated mid slide to us, I reckon this is realistic and a really good result for us.
think this may have been mentioned before, but think it deserves a little more time. how many people have watched peter wright's draft video? he seemed to mention the saints in a pretty strong manner. I'm assuming that its just the way the video has been edited and he would have been quizzed...
I'm just hoping that white has shown our coaches enough for them to think he can make it. That lee will be for next season and that they are making room for Boyd next season.
