Re: Arsenal cooked / wenger's genius a thing of the past?
29 million back? Way to inflate the figures coming and deflate the ones going out. More like 56 spent, 20 recouped from sales. Which puts your net spend at 36 million, rather than 26 million as you're claiming.
You got a sum total...
Sad to see the end of Meeson. Never really got a chance because his body let him down but I've heard good things about his work as a ruck coach with the young guys at Casey/Dees. Good luck to him and hopefully he can make a go of footy in a behind the scenes role.
Re: David Hale
I dont particularly think Hale would be a good trade for the Demons, although his 'value' has risen with the revised interchange rules which would probably see him and Jamar rotate between ruck and forward but lets not kid outselves that his 400k per year deal is anything out of...
I reckon Warnock has a future at the club; you've got to remember that he's played some very important roles for the club this year - he and Frawley absolutely killed Brown and Fevola in round 5 and he did some good work on other forwards. I think the issue with Warnocks position in the side...
The EPL is much more competitive than Spain. In Spain the gap between Madrid and Barcelona v the rest is actually getting wider, not shrinking because of increased competition such as it is in England.
Not really an answer.
He's in training for the world cup, I'd probably refuse to do media too if i knew that every interview I'd be hounded by El Mundo reporters, who are essentially tapping you up for Barcelona.
The club itself has released a statement refusing the bid, why does Fabregas...
Arsenal arnt being unfair in their valuation, Barcelona are severely low-balling on price in the hope that Fabregas kicks up a fuss and agitates for a move and they can get him on the cheap. Which isn't happening, because from what I've heard/read Fabregas would like to go to Barcelona but...
Tax rates are 50% in the highest bracket in England, which applies to everyone earning over £150,000 there and 43% in the highest bracket in Spain, the Beckham law doesn't apply to Fabregas; he's not a foreigner in Spain and therefore wouldn't be eligible for the 25% tax rate levied on foreign...
Why wouldn't it be taxed at 50%? Anyway, whilst I believe that Barcelona are unpleasant and slimy enough people to try and push that kind of pay out through, from all reports Fabregas, whilst he would like to go isn't going to force a transfer through that would leave Arsenal at a disadvantage.
Article with no quotes in it, citing the Webster ruling, an obscure clause that as been used all of once ever. Clearly completely made up.
Since when does a transfer value equate to the amount of money left payable on a players contract, not to mention the fact that if Barcelona 'gave'...
La Liga is awful.
It's less competetive than the SPL. Financially every club apart from Barcelona and Madrid is screwed because of the way the individual TV rights that have been negotiated to funnel more money in those two clubs at the expense of everyone else.
How is anyone meant to be...
Cripes, Olic? He's only ever been a hardworker and you've got a champions league final to thank him for. Pretty sure Mario "30 million" Gomez has done significantly less. Surely Bayern would have to shed at least one of Klose, Toni or Gomez to bring in Cole?
I dont really think the stats do it justice though, you've got to take into account that those are just raw numbers, rather than a breakdown of how and where those disposals are being made. I'd hazard a guess that nearly everyone of Clints disposals are short to open players whilst Aaron Davey...
rising star nomination is often given for a few good performances in a row. if gysberts keeps his performance levels up he'll definitely get one in the coming weeks.
How is that relevant? 7 million for a not-hack premiership center back is about right, Collins came in as cover and has surpassed probably even his own expectations with his improvement. I dont really think what he was brought for has any baring on Davies price.
hana's midfield is definitely their strength, they've not the talent in defense or up forward and a midfield of Appiah, Muntari, Asamoah and Kevin Prince Boateng is much less threatening than one with Essien in it, however it does aid every other team in the group aswell as Australia.
Nup, we need one more defensively minded player in that line up. Bartram, Warnock, Garland and Frawley arnt enough to cover all of Geelongs forwards. Wonna goes out and Warnock comes in. Jamar will probably need back up too, not sure who misses for him though.
