Let's put this into some context. We played without an established ruck and neither Hampson nor Maric had a sizeable impact on either contest this year - not even named in the best players. Sure they gave us a 'towel up' in hitouts, but hell, so did every other team in the competition.

Re. Vardy. You'd be better off to save pick 99 for an untried lottery ticket forward than an chronically injured player who's form's been terrible at VFL. And before anyone says he's got potential, so too does each player in the draft, hence they're in the draft!
