I think it's obvious that we will end up with either McBean or Dawes, to compliment other key forwards Dixon and Neade.

Don't need Reynolds. We already have Young, Palmer and Houston as mid-sized marking forwards.
We do need a KPF though. Are we desperate enough to bring in Chris Dawes? At this point, probably. Ugh.

Word is Barrett from GWS is going to be delisted so he can get to another club. Has suitors too, apparently.

Also, I don't know how you lot rate this guy, but Dean Towers from Sydney is OOC and isn't apparently keen on re-signing. Him, Barrett, Barlow and 4 Top 30 draftees would go some way towards building a strong list.

If we managed to get Barlow, Barrett and Towers I think I would be much more comfortable with what we have done this trade period......

Barrett and can't believe I'm saying this Dawes at DFA please. Need to delist two more players though.
Well I don't see us keeping O'Shea and Stewart so one of those would make way regardless if we were targeting OOC players as DFA's. And even if we were after Towers, Barlow and Barrett, I wouldn't see us getting all 3 anyway. Would be nice to get one of them though.

I'm not sure that Reynolds is AFL quality, he may be a rookie chance, but at the next level he would be vying for the same position as Palmer.
Dawes would be a significant downgrade on Butch, he has about 1 qtr of his athleticism, and is exposed regularly when the ball is on the deck.
The game is much too quick now for dinosaurs who stand around in the forward 50, and any advantage that may be gained by Dawes taking an extra defender away from Charlie, will be lost by his opponent running off him to set up play.

The game has passed Dawes by, but I don't know how you can justify calling him a downgrade on Butcher. No one is a downgrade on Butcher.
