My gut feel is we’ll look back at this draft as being similar to 2016. Good players right through to the 70s, but arguably no superstars (Maybe Tom Stewart?). I reckon multiple later picks was a good move given the strength of this draft was depth and evenness.

Im thrilled with our draft. If we didn’t have priority access to Kako, I reckon there’s a high chance we’d take him with 9. We addressed needs with our later picks and have set ourselves up to take a bumper crop in 2025. Couldn’t ask for more really.

The club has stated we’re only trading back in if a player we rate in the top 8 or 9 is available. Hard to believe that’s realistic a player we rate that highly will be available in the 20s

Most of my interest relates to what we do with 28 and 31. Trading back into the first round sounds like a pipe dream.
