    dirtiest team in the league

Any publicity is good publicity, yet another great milestone for the Bombers. Winning a Bigfooty Poll. Now, considering this is my last post due to being sick of reading the same bleeding heart drivel that most of you carry on with, it's about time for some home truths. Most of you give...

Peter Matera (WCE) OR Shane Crawford (HAW)

In terms of which one one killed Essendon over the years I've gotta give it to Matera. I don't know what we ever done to that bloke but it was his personal mission in life to destroy us....and he did on many occasions. So much so that I ended up begrudgingly admiring the bloke, was sad to see...

Most famous Picture in footballs history?

Some great moments mentioned but have to admit that the first thing that popped into my head when I read the title was Jezza's mark. MCG, Grand Final, Carlton v Collingwood...It does'nt get much bigger than that.

Freo - Officially the least successful team in AFL historty

Freo supporters will have to help me out here as I try to be serious, I know its Bigfooty so why even bother but here goes... Every year there is the following 1 Premier = All that matters. 14 Place getters = The majority. 1 Woodenspooner = Avoid at all cost. Regardless of where your...

Your 1st footy jumper, which players number did you have on the back??

#4 Rugged Ronnie Andrews changed to #32 Tim Watson for good reason. One of the most upsetting sights in Football was watching Ron Andrews run around in a Collingwood jumper. :)

    Best Number 1 in 2004

Exactly the reason I gave Everitt the knod.If Everitt played in the Sydney side and Hall played the season for Hawthorn, would Hall even be getting a mention?

    Best Number 1 in 2004

Voted Everitt just over Hall. Reason - Hall had a lot of contributors around him week in, week out, which helps you play and look good. Everitt, well he basically had himself and.......

    Troy Broadbridge Missing

Until truly faced with a Life/Death situation no-one can truly say how they would react. We'd all like to think that come crunch time, we'd be calm, clear thinking and selflessly protect those that we love. Keep in mind that this goes against a natural instinct for self preservation. I hope...

    Geez, Collingwood supporters calm down...

They played and won by the rules of the day, same as Essendon in 1924. Pies 4 in a row, no matter how they achieved it, is a great effort. Brisbane won 3 in a row by the rules of the day, had the chance to equal 4 straight and blew it, get over it.

Which AFL club do you think is more pathetic overall?

pathetic adv. Synonyms: pitiful, pitiable, piteous, lamentable These adjectives describe what inspires or deserves pity. Something pathetic elicits sympathetic sadness and compassion: I feel no pity, sadness or compassion for any of them so therefore I cannot vote. I do know who I...

teams supporters u hate & reasons why

Carlton and Collingwood, AKA Scum and Filth. I'm Essendon, thats the way it is and will always be.

Premiership and top eight odds 2005

I have a mate who worked for a sports betting agency, no longer does but I questioned him once on how they come up with a line of thinking such as the situation that you point out. What it means is that particular betting agency believe, at this stage, the Kanga's and Tiges are more of a chance...

Players u miss playing the game

    Worst act in football

I can't believe 7 pages without one mention of the most despicable acts on a footy field. Dustin Fletcher and those malicious, cowardly ankle taps, not to mention the way in which he shook that goal post. His number of suspensions make some of the previous mentioned look like choir boys.

    Collingwood 4 in a row

There will always be for and against in any argument/debate. To me 4 is better than 3 whether its present day or 70 years ago. If I was a Collingwood supporter, thank God that I'm not, I would argue that their 4 in a row was achieved with teams coming through years of depression, players...

I just watched the Port v Saints Prelim tape

Was a great final. I was sending the score by sms from Darwin to a mate in Queensland and could hardly keep up with the changing score in the last qtr.

Should the AFL impose more severe penalties in Grand Finals?

The main gripe we always here about the Tribunal is that they are never consistent. Yes, the GF is the pinnacle of the season, viewed by millions and therefore the showpiece of our great game but does that make striking someone in the head any different than if it was 1 week, 2 weeks or even 15...

    Congratulations

Congrats to PAFC and all supporters. Great to see the top team of the last 3 years finally get that elusive premiership. Hard enough to get there, harder to win, even harder to back it up, good luck for 2005. At this moment in time you are what all others aspire to be, a worthy Premier.

Team of Gary's would beat any other team

I thought Essendon were starting on a team of Mark's. From this years senior list... Mark Alvey Mark Bolton Marc Bullen Mark Johnson Mark McVeigh Mark Mercuri Mark Harvey (Assist. Coach)

    Growing your own......

Wait and see what happens if Port lose this weekend. The Collingwood and Essendon whingers will be made to look like amateurs. We are all just victims to what will eventually be known as "The concession years"

AFL GrandFinal, Norm Smith 2004 !!!

Power - Tredrea (5 goals including the winning one after the siren) :)

According To History Its Port Adelaide's First

Essendon 1897, although I think no GF was played they were still premier. Fitzroy 1898/99 back to back in their first 2 Grand Finals is a fair effort.

Are you sick of discussing the salary cap?

One could assume that with it being a constant point of discussion that there is definitely a problem. Lets start no threads on the subject, close our eyes and just hope it all goes away.
