Answerth showed his worth but due to the tight squeeze down back he could become a trade target for other clubs. Don't think will he take the same path Lester took.
Yeah, I would have Lester ahead of Doedee (I am a fan of Doedee though) at the moment. Will be interesting to see how Doedee attacks the preseason - good one for preseason observers.
If Zorko is fit he plays - just where is the question. Sounds like in the backline. Going to be a tight squeeze...
1. Voss
2. Neale
3. Brown
4. Black
5. Zorko
So many on the cusp. Leppa changed the way CHB was played. Andrews could squeeze in there. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Ashcroft boys make the list.
Yes we have some weaknesses but we have a lot strengths and the other team will have to contend with that. I think the balance is in our favour in most cases. No guarantee of another flag though.
The question is why isn't he training hard enough. Is it him or another reason. Perhaps if it is another reason he could be obtainable. Maybe he sees himself as the number 1 Banana and the doggies don't.
It is a balancing act. The start of the years seems to be where some of those that put in the hard yards in the preseason get rewarded. If they don't get rewarded then motivation can drop off quickly. Those that played in the GF and won a flag earnt it last year. Those that missed out should be...
Will be interesting to see if every 2024 premiership player available has dibbs on the opening round or if 2025 is treated as 2024 didn't happen. Perform well in the preseason and you get a run first up. Personally hope it is the latter.
Climbing to the top of the mountain with your mates is a strong motivation. Once you reach it, money talks for some. The motivation the club should be expressing to the lads is - we know we are good but how good do you think we can be - lets stick together and find out.
Weideman has struggled to make his mark in AFL. As top 10 key forward pick he has gotten some mileage out of that title but the show has come to an end for Sam. Bit like Pruess - promises, promises.
Sam hasn't played with our midfield delivering the ball to him - he will be licking his lips. Also he won't just be brought in for September but managed throughout the year depending on how his body is going. I suspect he will be in and out of the side but being primed for September.
Sam Day has the talent and experience. With the lure of playing finals perhaps a GF and even winning a premiership may just put in him in a very good head space. Suspect he will be managed throughout the year for a September run.
