Ahhhh Now I understand

'Victorian clubs have significantly less travel, but being a co-tenant of the MCG or Marvel Stadium can swing both ways. Playing an 'away' game at your home venue is clearly an advantage, but playing a 'home' game at the MCG against a fellow MCG tenant reduces the home-ground advantage'

Don't mind the look of our home draw, highlights for me are Cats(unfurling), Pies(blockbuster), Hawks(finally). Depending where we and they are on the ladder Port-Dogs-Swans along with Hawks in round 24 is a potentially bloody tough run into finals.

0- Cats H
2 Eagles H
3 Bye
6 Pies H
8 SUNS H
10 Dees H
12 Dons H
14 GWS H
16 Bye
17 Port H
19 Dogs H
22 Sydney H
24 Hawks H

Are they serious ?

Four Saturday games in the first 8 rounds that will be exclusive to Foxtel in the Brisbane market. More than I'd hoped unfortunately.

I was reading Peter Ryan's analysis piece on the draw in fairfax and he seemed to imply that the saturday exclusivity for fox was just for Victoria? Hadn't seen that anywhere else so not sure if it is true.

It self evidently does - what do you think the crowd split is when melbourne hosts collingwood?

It doesn't mean that vic clubs don't have some fixture advantages, obviously less travel is just better for them. The grand final being locked in at the MCG for 50 years stinks too. But they do have less HGA against other vic clubs.

Marvel clubs have the least HGA of any team in the league, as all their interstate opponents play there regularly.

Geelong by contrast has the best HGA in the comp because it gets its games down at the State Government cash sink, and has neutral/slight HGA with some MCG games that they host against big teams.

I'm firmly of the view that if Geelong wants to whinge for more home games then they shouldn't get to host games at the MCG again, and should be treated like an interstate side like Sydney who plays there 2-3 times a year.

No. For rounds 1-8 it's national. After that it's only in Victoria.

Reading through this most of the non-Vic sides have 4 games in this list (Sydney have 2). It'd be interesting to see how the remaining rounds fixtured thus far are arranged.

I'm sure those Lions games will still be on FTA in Brisbane but I suspect it'll be on a 1-hour delay.

First 8 rounds, Saturdays are exclusively live on Fox/ Kayo. 7 or 7mate will show each non-vic team in their home state on a 2hr delay for those rounds if the match is on a Saturday. They can't start after 8:30pm, so a 7:30pm match will only be a 1 hour delay.

After round 7/8 (depending if they count Opening Round or not), any non-vic clubs' Saturday matches will be live on 7/ 7mate in their home state (much like it is now)

It looks like Opening Round is excluded from this deal in the interests of maximising the northern clubs' (and their sponsors) exposure. So as per the above graphic from Kayo it's only R1-8.

Where the fook is Ninja Stadium?
Hobart. Was called Blundstone Arena this year but recently changed sponsorship names
I seriously thought it was an Indigenous naming until I just googled it and it is a corporate sponsorship deal.

Cricket Tasmania has announced a four-year deal with SharkNinja, a global kitchen and home appliances company, to rename the Bellerive Oval ground.

7+ advertising all their games are live.
If true not a problem for the majority of people really.
Unless they are not the broadcaster at all on a Saturday which would be just wrong.
They did pay a fortune for this new media agreement

I don't think anyone knows because you never see it, or so I've heard...

Also works for the Ninja Women's A-League.
