Re: Have a vent in 'ere - Fumble fumble fumble...
Had some lady sitting behind me up in the Nosebleeds (was with the missus) yelling 'PICK IT UP, PICK IT UP' every time the ball was on the deck.
Seriously, what else are they going to do? FFS
I think every time she did yell, Essendon...
Re: #22: Jake Carlisle - Very good against Richmond
They should get one of those baby straps you carry your young kids , give it to fletch and have Buckets strap himself on. No better way to learn TBH
The tendency to not mark or not take possession was the worst thing out of today IMO.
Why the hell would you leave the ball (one thing to not take possession and tap on/be clever, another to leave it) without attempting to take it.
Some of it could be attributed to misjudgment (Hardingham...
This thread is lacking Nahas love. Has been tearing it up for richmond, his form has been superb and needs some very close checking from Essendon defence
Crameri and Zaharakis both seem to jog at what seems a light pace yet manage to get away from their opponents. Crameri continually does it when he takes marks outside 50 and runs towards goal.
They're very laconic runners, those two.
Despite the blatant racism present here, this is actually correct. I was out and we got a cab home, and some Aussie bloke picked us up. One of my drunk friends proceeded to ask him why an indian cab driver wasn't here and he said ' because i don't like cricket'
Just wondering whether anyone noticed, Heppell lead the team of the ground, after the group huddled after the game. Anybody have any insight into who started this?
If it's what i think it is, its going to wonders for his confidence
Funny the Hurley thing came up.
I was talking to somebody about how fletcher rated as a backman, and he said that Fletcher would have also made a good forward - long kick, large degree of accuracy and good hands/reach.
Yet when you look back on it, i think we'd all want fletcher to play in the...
Re: National Draft / Rookie Draft Strategy (No Trade Talk)
If there looking for a ruckman that can cover for Hille Ryder and Bellchambers in case of injury, how is a first year recruit going to help? Surely a mature aged rookie is the way to go there
Gorringe looks to be an absoloutly...
Agree, but he cant kick. Not exactly what we need. If we got him cheap (PSD or mature rookie/late pick) then maybe, but not if its considered an even trade
Exactly what we need to move forward - selfless, team orientated play. Neagle is going get the ball kicked to him 10 times at least in a game in our forward line, but its stuff like this that separates good teams from great teams.
Hurley to stay down back IMO - Was amazing there last night and it shouldnt be changed - Hooker Pears and Hurley will be able to handle every forward line in the competetion. Hurley's footskills/ability to read the play are fletcheresque, and well, thats exactly what everytime would want. So he...
Re: Andrew Gaff
We'd have to finish last to get Gaff, which is the only downside to getting him. I highly doubt he'd fall past 4. But ive heard good things about him, and would welcome him into our club
