IMO he doesn't seem too upset in that interview. Obviously the end came a bit quicker than he thought but his demeanour doesn't really align with someone who is bitter at Simpson or the club.
Interesting perspective. Priddis was overlooked multiple times and ultimately had to win a Sandover just to get on an AFL list. Tom Lamb can't even string 3 decent games together and is about to walk away from an AFL contract because he shouldn't have to wait for his form to demand selection...
Would Rotham be more suited to a wing more in the mould of Embley? I have only seen glimpses of him but his speed and foot skills could be pretty useful if he can build a tank.
It is great to see the bones of the next team playing together in the WAFL. Add in Yeo, Sheed, Duggan, Barrass...
Funny stuff. Love ya work Jimmy - setting the sponsorship benchmark this year.
It was great to Large McInnes play well. He actually did pretty well in Darlings absence last year and it as good to have a reminder of his potential. Will never be a world beater but as a backup ruck/forward on...
I was living in Alberta back then and watched to 05 GF at the only Aussie pub in Calgary surrounded by bloody Sydney supporters. The pub had closed down by the 06 GF, and I was also on my honeymoon, so we headed to the Grizzly Paw Brewing Co in Canmore (little town not far from Banff) which...
Has anyone seen any of Dylan Mains recent games for SF? Heard he was playing as an inside mid now and it appears he has been racking them up. Just wondering how he was going as he seemed to have the skills but never seemed to get enough of it.
Since Gaff took that hit against Port, he just seems to have gone up a level. Its almost like he finally took the big hit he was avoiding for so long, and now knows he can take it. Big positive for me last night was Gaff. He had more clearance and contested possessions than any one else on the...
Probably not the right thread for this video but saw this during the week and thought it showed how great the WAFL used to be and also the flair Aboriginal players add to our great game.
For those who have never seen Michael Mitchells mark, go to the 38sec mark.
That's awesome (and correct). Good luck to catching up with Allen. For a first year KPF, he has shown a bit this year and is at least kicking a few goals both in ressies and league (which WC haven't had seen for a while from a young KPF). He seems to have a good attitude as well and keen to...
Developing a bit of an inside game seems to have gone a long way to helping him break tags. He is now able to lose taggers in traffic a bit more whereas in previous years he was just too outside and taggers would just run with him.
And this is why I don't understand people getting upset about trades, days after they are made. A players form line before a trade is what sets the price, while their form afterwards is what determines the trades true value (i.e. who wins or loses) and even that is subjective. Judd and Ebert...
Given the coaching staff was pretty much slapped together at the 11 hour after Woosh left, I think the lack of turnover during the offseason was a great sign. Obviously Simmo has a couple of "his guys" there (Rawlings Pratt), but it is great the others are being retained and backed in. If I am...
I don't disagree. But he can change the momentum of games within a few minutes and we have few, if any, who can do that on our team. Masten, Gaff, Rosa can provide the link up role for us, we need players who can impact on the game. From my limited viewing of Grundy, I don't think he is that...
Great first game (well not as the sub). His footy brain stood out in our team, which probably highlights one of the issues with WC at the moment. I think the rest has been covered, but I was surprised how inside he played and also that Simpson was happy to throw him into the centre bounces so...
I think most of the positives have been covered. Duggan was brilliant for a first gamer. His ability to put the ball to advantage was notable. NN just makes things happen. Yeo and Shuey give us grunt in the middle. The Gov and Schoey doing better than we could have hoped. Hill and Wellingham...
