Hector had equal most dribble take ons for the whole game and he only played 3 minutes. I watched the game from the 50th minute onwards and it was probably as dire a game as I've seen from Arsenal for a while. Good to the get win though, is it Liverpool in the next round?

Woo what a game! Just had my first Emirates experience and got everything I could have asked for. See at least 1 goal- Check See an Arsenal win- Check See Alexis play- Check Like others have said it's amazing what can be achieved when we play people in their correct positions. Solid win all...

It definitely did count towards his ban so he should be back for Stoke. With Ozil a possibility for the bench this weekend and other 1-2 weeks away things are actually looking up for once...

He's been played on the wing almost exclusively at Man U, when he had a chance at CF he was actually quite good. I'm more frustrated at the fact we have 2 CB's in our squad....

Most amazing thing is in that game with an insane ref throwing cards around like candy that Flamini was one of the few not to get one....

Man Giroud was poor today....although almost the whole team was pretty bad.

News before the Besiktas game, Kos has flown with the team and Mertesacker hasn't while Gibbs and Sanogo havn't flown due to soft tissue injuries...brilliant start to the season injury wise

Big worry about Nastasic staying fit but if he does then it would be a great signing. I don't expect us to make any more purchases until the final few days of the window.

Now to prepare for the Community Shield next week, I know it's still a glorified practice match (I mean Moyes did win it last year) but I'd like us to get settled on a starting lineup before our first serious game.

Sanchez excited me a lot when he came on as well, starting to get really excited for the upcoming season.

You are right though, alot of premier league teams would love to have him as a starter just not the top 4-5 teams. Depends what's better for a player, number 1 backup at a big club or playing every week for a midtable team.

He hasn't shown he's too good for the bench for a while now. Handy backup though.

Bring in a defensive midfielder and that will end a very tidy transfer period.

I hope Chambers isn't in to replace Vermaelen, we haven't lost any solid players this off season which is key

What the hell is this news about us being in for Calum Chambers from Southampton? They quite possibly might not have a team if they sell so many players.

Do people think we need another CB if the Verminator stays? Or do we just give more opportunities to someone from the reserves?

Happy with the Debuchy signing, its unusual this transfer period that we are actually signing most of the players we have been heavily linked with.

I agree with them both, i'm way on the City bandwagon for the title at this stage just so Liverpool doesn't win it. GO CITY!!

In regards to Ozil I think it's quite obvious he is wanting the other guys to make those runs behind the defence. In the first half everyone was just hanging around at the edge of the box, Ozil is at his best when those runs are being made but at times we just look so stagnant.

He was easily our best attacking player, constantly harassing and chasing players down for the 94mins. He provided an amazing through ball for Walcott who miscontrolled it in the first half as well. Anyway solid performance, for everyone saying we were under so much pressure it's a good thing...

Higuain is a smart player and a very good finisher/poacher but Napoli created 0 clear cut oppurtunities all game so im not sure his inclusion would have added all that much to this morning's performance, they were just toothless in midfield and their attacking players spent most of the game...

So bloody proud of this team so far!!! Giroud's hold up play was excellent, Flamini was a bulldog in midfield, Ramsey and Ozil were sublime but i was also super impressed with our defence. For a team with numerous attacking options like Napoli, Wojiech really didn't have a save to make.
