I usually take things in my life a short period at a time so even with the dragon's I have never promised to be there for more than one season at a time (I do a bit of competitive sport so if I hypothetically qualify for a world cup I might step away or have reduced posting for a season whilst I increase training).

The Old Boys are still a new club as well, I am incredibly excited to join and think it will be amazing, but I can't guarentee I will love it or mesh with everyone until I try it as well (pretty confident I will though)

anyway back now and can assure anyone concerned about the Ophidian Old Boys playing list, they need not be, as we have 5 players on our waiting list who are waiting to step up if any vacancies occur. We have deliberately as a team stepped back once the vote got approved to allow other teams the opportunity to have some time in the sun before the OOB FFC enter the competition and dominate this place.

Didn’t Callums_Guns request to be delisted by Mt Buller a few weeks back? Not really an example of sticking to his current club for the rest of the season.

Callums_Guns was up and about for the Demons against us last week. He remained impactful in-thread despite not taking the Qooty field. This is tightly attuned to his earlier media forays with regard to teams that have too many active players and what to do with them.

Headless as Bonz answered, I was referring to us posting in our OOBs roles as we did during the expansion debate

I don’t know why that’s such a difficult question to answer directly. Cut the political circle talk and say it straight.

Why would he do that? It doesn't make any sense. if he's not gonna play, not much point being on a list (he might have got left on the list against his wished btw, i dunno). You can still support a club without being squadded.

Pretty sure I did the same thing in Season either 6, or 7 (might be out by a season). We had good numbers, I was 'captain' (which was just selector then). So I jumped off the squad and solely non-player captained.

Desiring to stay on a squad list but at the same time desiring to not be selected at all, anymore, is probably risking a BTGID charge.

In the past week we have seen why clubs maintain squads of more 21-22 players due to suspensions, etc.

Why “walk out” on your club half way through the season because you’re leaving to go to a new club. Why risk the Demons getting into squad list drama for a bit of personal attention?

Just because you did something 15 years ago doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do today.

Plus different circumstances considering you weren’t already planning on leaving to a new club next season.

I just don’t understand why CG couldn’t stick with his club for a few more weeks. It just shows a lack of respect to his club and the league IMO that the moment the expansion vote happened he requested to be delisted.
